Change In Punishment System?

I hope this isn't too much to ask..

I hate it when you don't have much gold, aren't strong enough to kill guards or really don't want to go to jail. Such as when you first start the game.

 

What I want is a mod which adds an alternative option to the guards punishment system.

I'm not sure what though, I would do it myself if I knew how. :(

 

I know there are things like if they like you enough they will "look the other way" but it's hard to do that.

 

Please could somebody make such a mod?

But so many times i had a guard soda pop up my toons ass then nab me as soon as he was done cos it only reduced my bounty by 100g to a grand total of 9900g

 

Its only a thought tho.

Usually there are only three options:

 

Go To Jail

Resist Arrest

Pay Gold

(4th Option)

 

Maybe somebody could add a 4th option to make it easier to get away with a crime.

You may not know it but kieranfoy can be extremely helpful in finding existing mods on various sites that may accomplish what you are looking for...or know of somebody who might want to create the mod. You should remember that it is easier to attract modders with honey than it is with a bitter tone.

Apparently not. If duncanlambert had taken the time to make that mod and then you come back and say, "I don't play a female character", that would be an enormous waste of his time. If you have specific requirements, YOU need to sit down and think about them and list them all out BEFORE anyone agrees to do the mod...otherwise it is called skope creep and gold-plating features that were not part of the original design goal. If you are lucky enough to snare a modder to create this for you, they probably don't have an endless amount of time to help you...so you need to be absolutely clear about what you think should be considered requirements. If you just want an additional option other than paying and will work for a starting character, be ready to accept a LARGE array of possibilities from the very inventive to the sublimely bizarre...because basically, you asked for an open-ended design that "creative" people tend to be "creative" in their solutions.

 

I mean...

You did better by specifying where the option should reside but you still leave it wide open for interpretation. A "pay 10% less" option is still "easier" but if you are wanting a no money-spent option, you need to be very clear about it. Pay with armor, clothing, dead bandits ears, etc.

Then it sounds like you need to contemplate your options for a while or create a thread and ask people for suggestions for what it could be if you think that you are limiting yourself or don't have enough ideas you like...then make your decision and post a request once you have your idea fleshed out. Like I said, the more room you leave up to interpretation, the more it might turn into something you cannot use or will be happy with....such as the "it has to work with male characters" requirement.

Edit: Ok, I have looked in the construction set and have tried to figure it out to the best of my ability but I'm no good with scripts, and it looks like a few scripts are involved. :(

 

Could somebody please make this? I don't think it would take too long.

I'd actually have a look around Tesnexus. This is the kind of thing I'm pretty sure someone would have already made or at least exists as a feature in another mod.
