Cracked Oblivion disc

So I turned on my computer for a bit of oblivion only to find my disc is cracked from the middle outwards, about 2 and a half inches. Now my computer wont read the disc so I can't play because the launcher can't validate it so now I'm pretty much stuck. Is there anyway I can play Oblivion without the disc? (No CD cracks are counted as piracy.) Or will I have to just buy a new copy? (I was thinking of getting the collectors edition for quite some time.)

I think that using FOSE will eliminate the need for a disk in the drive if I'm not mistaken.

FOSE is for Fallout. OBSE doesn't eliminate the disk check, if that's the thing you meant.

 

I'd personally recommend you buy the GOTY edition--my old disk got played to death too, so that's what I did. :)

Ah, thats the thing, it was a GOTY edition :/

 

I've saved a bit of money so I may as well purchase another one, and maybe the collectors edition in time.

You can import it into Steam using your CD key, allowing you to download it off their servers ;)
