mikeburnfire
I've been thinking about making my own mod for Vegas, but the idea that I have in mind might not be appealing, so I'd like some feedback. Basically, it would just add a few more NPCs with backstories to make the towns more interesting. There are already mods that drop 100 unnamed NPCs in the game, but that seemed lackluster to me. So I was thinking about adding a few people to the game, such as - Two soldiers standing guard on a hillside, bickering about their job - A soldier who goes AWOL because he's fed up with poor NCR leadership that you track down. - A female legion spy (because who would suspect the Legion of having a female spy? And why would a woman voluntarily work for the legion? Intriguing!) - The lone survivor from vault 11, trying desperately to live a quiet life. - A former NCRCF inmate who opted out of joining the powder gangers and fled to one of the towns. - An NCR soldier at Goodspring's bar. He took leave from California to come to Vegas, but couldn't pass the deathclaws. So he's stuck spending his shore leave in a town he hates. - A female soldier at Mojave Oupost who gives you a missing persons quest - Unique Medics/Doctors to Primm, Mojave Outpost, Westside, Khans (this would also be useful for Hardcore mode) BOTTOM LINE is that this mod would add no unique items, no major quests, no unique areas, and no visual enhancements. It would just be more people to interact with, hear their interesting backstories, and hopefully get a laugh from them. Plus, a few more doctors to make all towns into areas where Hardcore-mode players can heal. Is there any interest in this kind of mod? Do such mods already exist?
