XunAmarox
Why are there two gender fields now? I had myself set to female for the longest time and it's always said that, but I looked at one of my pm's just a minute ago and it said Male, so I was kinda weirded out and I went right to my profile to change it back. Apparently there's two now? One said Male, the other Female. So, I set the Male one to Female and now it says the right thing. But, why's there two? Is that intentional or some weird mistake? Vagrant0
It's for people who are confused or undecided on that matter. There have, as it turns out, been more than a few... Really though, I'm not sure. I think it's something that happened when the forums were upgraded in that some of the profile stuff uses old code or had to be re-worked. evilneko
They've been there for a long time actually. ;)
Pushkatu
Like evil said, the two genders have been there for a long time. I had a problem similar to yours at first. When I set up my gender as male and saved, it still looked like it hasn't been set at all. It worked after a few attemps to set it.
LHammonds
They have been that way for a long time but I think this happened when it was originally defined as non-gender specific (such as Weapons and Armor) When the categories or search tags are split, the original is renamed to one of the genders...and all previously uploaded mods to that category or search tag now fall under that new name. All the mods have to be "weeded through" to find the ones that no longer fit or fit both categories / search tags. One mod can only be associated with one category so a single category has to be matched to the "gist" of the mod...but search tags allow for very granular descriptors for what is contained in the mod. LHammondsI believe they're referring to the 2 gender fields under profile. such as# Yahoo# Jabber# Skype# Gender# Location# Interests# Gender# Real Name# Country# Currently Playing# Favourite Game# Processor Edited August 30, 2010 by Vagrant0
