Er, stupid question, but i'm not a newbie

Now, here's the thing. I've been playing MW since about two weeks after it came out, but recently i had to buy it again and re-install it (swine friend who nicked my copy  ).

While it was installing i read the manual to pass the time. I'd read it before, but somehow i missed the bit about setting quick keys for spells and items. Reading with interest (how boring is it to have to right-click to select a Healing spell in the middle of a fight?) i found that the page had been written to tell you about the QK function, but not how to actually bind them

So thats my question. If i sound like an idiot or a noob (i really hate text talk  ) then flame me. But at least answer my question first.

neways, just press F1 to bring up a window with various boxes. click on one and select the type of thing u want to bind to the key (inventory, magic, etc) and then select it from the menu. i think its marked what keys activate what but it ranges from 1-9 i believe

Press F1. This brings up a menu with 10 slots. To put something in a slot, click on the slot, brings up a menu of chocies, pick the one you want and you can scroll along/down to get the thing you are interested in.

the "0" key (zero not o) is fists and can't be changed.

I tend to have recall, lockpicks, probes and wepaons/spells in my quick keys
