Character greetings messed up

Hi, could you please help me with a problem? For some reasons the characters in Seyda Neen that are responsible for the quests in mods "Siege of Firemoth" and "Booty island" don't give me the right greetings that activate the quests. For example, Sellus Gravius just asks me how is it going with Caius Cosades instead of saying he wants to send me to Firemoth. Socuccius Ergalla is supposed to send me on a mission to infiltrate the pirates, but is asking about the murder of Processus Vitellius instead, even though I finished the quest long ago.


How can I modify the greetings in the Construction Set in such a way that the quest greetings are given absolute priority but are only said once to my character? I have read several guides for the construction set, but am still unable to even change the numbers of the different greetings. When I select Socuccius Ergalla and enter his greetings section to modify anything, it keeps saying "you can't do this while dialogues are being filtered".


Please help; even though there is a rough solution: simply adding the topics "Firemoth" and "pirates" through console to the quest givers, I would still prefer to know how to make the things to run more smoothly, since there may be other similar problems in the future, while I progress in the game, and adding everything manually for each separate quest is annoying.

I'd first suggest running mlox to see if it indicates any problems with your mod list.

 

After dealing with its messages (and if you still have problems) then please post your current mod list (bottom of your morrowind.ini or from Wrye Mash or mlox) and whatever's in your wanrings.txt

However, I moved some mods due to other problems: I put Serabul on top of the list hoping the other mods would override its specific greetings that appear in NPC unrelated to the mod (didn't work though), Port Hamvirr also on the top because otherwise it overrides the image of gold provided by the overhaul, and Norn because otherwise it creates bugs with soul gems. I also put Graphic Herbalism, Silt striders are in Vvardenfell and Circle of FIve to the bottom of the list, so they won't be overridden by other mods that create confusion. In case of Silt striders are in Vvardenfell it didn't work, and neither does putting Booty Island to the bottom.

Read the mlox messages and follow them. There're loads of problems being highlighted.

 

When you've done that apply mlox's suggested load order. Don't mess around with your load order yourself, yet.

 

When you've done that please post your new load order and warnings.txt

 

Also, let's keep this to one thread.

 

Try cleaning your mods with either TESTool or tes3cmd, some of your issues maybe due to mods unintentionally having default values stored in them. These are removed by cleaning.
