Umberstone
I've been away from the oblivion mods for a while and I'm wondering has anyone modded the way swimming is handled? Custom short races cant breath while swimming and even un-modded wood elves get a mouthful of water once and awhile. Has it been done or can it be done? I'm asking because a want to create a custom race that's just a bit shorter than a wood elf, but I'm not willing to sacrifice swimming.
ub3rman123
Yes, that's been a problem for supershort races. If I recall, if you go below the height of half the NPC standard, you won't be able to breathe. But just a bit shorter than a Woof Elf? Not likely a problem. You can always test it, of course. I may be wrong.
Umberstone
But just a bit shorter than a Woof Elf? Not likely a problem. Wood elves have a height of 9 and I was thinking about a height of 7 or 8, if combat looks okay. It's not that they would drown from just being in water, it's when they are swimming you have to be in first person and looking up or you will drown. Or if your playing a taller race your arms raise above the water. It kills the experience. Even unmodded wood elves don't swim well. Is it possible to mod this so that all races or just your pc swim at shoulder level?
