OiramX5
Well, I had downloaded the game for a while, it was because of Bioware, and as she makes the excellent Mass Effect, I thought I would also enjoy the game at first thought it was going to have gameplay similar to the one in Oblivion third person, BUT, I did not expect the game to be a point-click(Because Mass Effect doesnt are point-click ,thank god) , and I hate games that are so (So much so that uninstalled after leaving the castle and going for a later mission), one who have the patience to play is Age Of Empires and Starcraft. I'm just wondering if there is any mod that changes it to appear more like Oblivion gameplay ,without point-click. I'm even asked for if you have ever seen a mod for GTA IV that changes the game for first person, maybe have something similar in the Dragon Age ,dont know. Sebiale
You don't have to use point and click if you don't want to...although I like it for tactical movement purposes.

superdeluxe
Get Advanced Tactics, get a mod to unlock all 25 tactic slots for you, set up your tactics to cover every situation and then using advanced tactics allow tactics to run on controlled character. Now just enter a fight and you don't have to click on anything. In fact, you just have to watch. NOW ISN'T THAT FUN?
Thandal
Get Advanced Tactics, get a mod to unlock all 25 tactic slots for you, set up your tactics to cover every situation and then using advanced tactics allow tactics to run on controlled character. Now just enter a fight and you don't have to click on anything. In fact, you just have to watch. NOW ISN'T THAT FUN?Yeah, it can be. If you spend enough time setting up each NPC's tactics juuuuuuust so... Then getting to watch them perform is a real blast! (For the first dozen times, anyway. Then it gets pretty boring.) One doesn't really need "Advanced Tactics" (and you're screwed if you go to Patch 1.04 anyway. They ACCIDENTLY rolled the AI back to the version from 1.02! And yes, Virginia, there is a work-around, but it ain't easy.) Anymore I really only have about three tactics per party member. #1 is always "Take your damn vitamins!" (Lower levels get "Health <50% -> Least Powerful Potion", higher levels get "Health <25% -> Most Powerful Potion". #2 Depends on the specific NPC. Might be "Wear your armor, Dear" (Rock Armor for a Mage) or "Keep on your toes, Dear" (Duelist for a Rogue.) #3 is "UH-oh. What did I get myself into?!?!" Whatever is the best available response when being mobbed. (Mind Blast, Whirlwind, War Cry, etc.) Except for Dog. Dog is always: "Enemy -> Nearest Visible -> Mage -> Overwhelm". I get a chuckle every time! One can control movement via the WASD keys, which feels a lot more free-flowing but does make it awful hard to look around (which is pretty important in this game!) But any kind of selective targeting still needs the mouse. 'Course if you're willing to go with the default/tuned behaviors, then the only combat click you need to make is to identify the PC's next target. You can even set everyone else to "Follow my lead!" and attack the same one as you (either the "Hero" or just any "controlled character".) Other actions, e.g. opening chests or doors, convo, etc. still require clicks. But c'mon?! How else ya' gonna' do it?
