albe0345 Posted December 10, 2014 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Hi there I have for quite some time been thinking about making a whole set of new stealth/sneak levels for the game. I found the levels in the thieves guild questline lackluster and in many cases it could have been in the companions guild questline. What do I need?: I need help designing the layouts of these new dungeons/levels, I can make them myself in the creation kit, but it would be nice getting help designing them. I want them to be advanced and with different ways to get to the goal. These locations will be filled with city guards or something similiar so if you get caught or commit murder you will get a bounty. Here is a list of the mods I would like to incorporate or have my mod be depended on, if the mod authors will grant me permission of course: Sneak Tools (rope arrow, water arrow and noise arrow being the most usefull)Stealth Skills rebalancedTraps makes noiseDynamic torches I have a whole list of different locations I can think of to add these new levels: All temples are possibilitesEvery Jarl should have a tresure chamberSome forts or perhaps castle dour should have a treasure chamber with funds essential for the war effort.Perhaps some recipe for the black briar mead is kept secured in the meadery.The treasury house in Markarth (Silver bloods)Something related to the Battle BornsThe Guilds might have valuable items especially the College could be interesting.The trading companies of Skyrim in Solitude and Windhelm Here are some of the things I have thought of incorporating: Escape tunnels (could be a secret entrance)Routes that requires good lockpicking or pickpocketing keys.Water filled areas (good for argonians or water breathing spells/potions)Secret passage ways (might be so in palace of kings - windhelm)Use of diversions, activate trap/trigger/leverBribe your way into somewherePlaces only accesable by rope arrows.Or just sneak around the guards. ke38290 Posted January 26, 2015 Share Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) This sounds like a good idea, skyrim lacks a bit of variety in terms of stealth options in the layout. Adding sewers to cities that you can use stealth in and swim to different areas would be cool. Also, buildings like temples with higher ceilings could be changed to make a few paths in rafters/ledges that you can only access using rope arrows. Another change would have course be to make guards patrol a lot more in buildings like they do in the cities, so instead of a single area guards patrolled several rooms or even the whole building. Not sure if I just elaborated on what you have in mind already. I don't have any experience in other stealth games but I enjoy this style of gameplay in Skyrim and noticed that it lacked proper level design for really enjoyable stealth.
