Vindekarr
"Haters gonna hate..." anonymous user at a forum Vin really? What you said is the nicer way of saying a hater. Social skills still apply in the Internet too, you can't hide behind a veil of anonymity forever. This will catch up to you. What you actualy had there was what is called a Joke. I do not appreciate this unpleasent post Brokenergy, let alone the accusations that I'm a narrow minded fool. Hater has a very diferent meaning where I come from, and if you really think I am one, you're more of a fool than you seem. A hater is someone who devotes their life to destroying a particular group or social idea. After all that I've said and done, do you really think that's what I am? If you do, shame on you. And besides, with emotions, balance is what is needed. if you're going to restrict yourself to positive or negative emotions only, you're not only a fool, but you're also ruining your life and your ability to percieve the world. Hatred and anger are emotions we have for a reason, what offends me is when fools say "hate is a crime" because it sounds good. Hate is not a crime. Denying your own emotions however is criminaly stupid-you have them for a reason, and they'll keep you alive.
zprospero
If I may, I would like to mediate a bit here. Vindekarr, I believe that brokenergy was expressing a concern for you, but I do agree the wording could be interpreted as a personal attack, especially in response to something that was a joke. I also believe that your initial hurt feelings may have led you to making a post that was a touch harsher in tone than was necessary. brokenergy, What I believe to be your concern is noble, but this is the internet, and you will never really know what's going on in another person's life, even less their mind, and that makes offering advice over the internet quite dangerous, and in most cases a bad idea. You must be careful when you make a judgment about a person based on a collection of text, rather than the person themselves. Granted, at this moment I am making a judgment, mainly that you are both good people who misunderstood each other. Of course, the possibility exists that I am wrong, in which case I plead with you not to derail threads with arguing just because you don't get along. Now, back to the original purpose of the thread, amusing diatribes against everyday annoyances! :teehee:
brokenergy
True but text can reveal a lot of things about someone. You are right, I am concerned and I would rather spend time else where rather than discussing it here.
ub3rman123
I hate people who decide to stop in the middle of a hallway and have a chat. People go through the center, go to the side to talk! What's worse is people who stand at chokepoints, like doors, and talk to people. Roadblocks.. Also: Nearly ran over my principle (On foot) when he was standing in the doorway to my math class talking to someone.
Vindekarr
Heh, I nearly had a car accident this morning because this old man had parked his car in the middle of the street, got out, and was having a conversation with someone. The driver behind me, despite my warings however, smashed straight into his car and ripped the door open off. FOOL! The morals of the story are: if you own an old car, install disc brakes, the $1100 modernsiation saved me a $11000 repair job. And secondly, DONT PARK YOUR CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF A BLIND CORNER JUST TO TALK TO YOUR FRIEND YER BLOODY IDIOT!!! Seriously though, this guy really had it coming. He drove around at thirty KPH in a 50 zone all the time, frequently parked in the middle of the road, and regularly cut people off or merged dangerously. Now, I watch Le Mans every year, I KNOW how car crashes happen, and as a Le Mans fan I can tell you that it's not speed itself that's the kicker, it's diferrence of speed. If Im doing the speed limit and you're doing 30 MPH lower than that, then we're both in danger, likewise for doing 30 above, and when someone is stopped, it's even more of a hazard. Especialy for neighbourhoods like mine, where a lot of people have older, heavier cars that struggle to stop quickly, some of which dont even have ABS. To be honest, this guy's lucky it was just his door. It could have been much worse for everyone involved (Imagine if that other car had come through sooner)
ub3rman123
I hate it when books come with really narrow margins, especially the kind that snaps shut the moment you let go of it. There's no fingerholds on them at all without blocking the text!
CommanderCrazy
Hold below the spot where you're reading & when you get to the bottom of the page, hold above it.
zprospero
I have no idea what you're talking about CC. :teehee:   o_O
CommanderCrazy
That was about what you said involving the book. But let me rephrase that anyway. Hold the page below the text that you're reading & when you get to the text at the bottom of the page, hold the above the text. What about now?
