Prenihility
really dont know how to explain this, im not even sure how... Basically they are stretched out black rectangles. Whats causing this? I didnt install anything new, nothing has changed. Also, this is occuring in another game i play, and Oblivion. Every other game i own runs as it should. The black triangles arent popping up.
Hickory
If this is happening in another game, then you should suspect your graphics drivers and/or graphics card.

Hickory
If it's not the drivers, then you need to suspect your graphics card.
Vindekarr
Well, I dont know much about software, but I do know about building pcs and modifying cars. Like cars, a PC is a complicated machine with lots of internal parts. Keeping those parts clean, and giving it a regular checkover really helps keep everything running smoothely. Especialy the fans and cooling panels. To start off, unplug all your cables and dust their plugs and sockets off comprehensively with a static charged rag. Then take some pipe-cleaners and rub clean the cooling fans. Gently. Then take a small vacuum cleaner and vacuum all the air intake grills on the outside of the case. Make sure it's a soft pipe cleaner too, and keep changing rags and pipe cleaners, this wont fix any software glitches, but dusty contact points and slowed down fans can cause all kinds of heck for pc innards. Keep your PC clean, it really helps, I had CTDs until I alcahole washed my HDMI cabling, then it ran smooth as glass.(DO ***NOT***TRY THAT AT HOME)

DeadMansFist849
Dust in your PC can break your hardware. If the software's OK, your hardware has an issue. Cleaning the PC thoroughly can sort out some problems--dusty cables and connectors=pure trouble. A dirty fan is also never a good thing.
Valkyrie
This is called "artifacting". Its common to pc overclockers. Your graphics chip is overheating. If its overclocked set it back to default values. If not check to see that the fan on it is working correctly and clean both it and the heatsink it blows on.. How can it be overheating when its just happening with two games? Im pretty sure everyone knows that Far Cry 2 is still one of the most graphics intensive games out there... And its not happening in Far Cry 2. However, i'll still give it a go. If i want to vacuum it, plastic end right? No metal; ionizes air, correct?
