Quirkyblonde
The Imperial Retreat is an Ayleid style home originally built for the Emperor. Unfortunately Emperor Uriel died before he could see it. In the wake of the Oblivion invasion, the Elder Council unanimously decides to grant the home to the Imperial champion! This home is stunningly beautiful, with all new masonry and everything an Imperial Champion (or emperor) could want! Here's a few screenies to whet your appetite! exterior:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/ScreenShot118.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/ScreenShot110.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/ScreenShot109.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/ScreenShot106.jpg storage area:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/ScreenShot113.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/ScreenShot114.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/ScreenShot115.jpg There's lots more areas to see, so keep your eyes peeled for more screenies! ub3rman123
Woah, that floor is really blurry. Is there a higher rez texture you can use? Aside from that, looks awesome! I especially like the look of the stairs on the exterior.
Quirkyblonde
actually, the floor is a bit of an experiment, it'll probably change before the mod is released. :) This mod is very much a work in progress at the moment.
Quirkyblonde
if anyone has any suggestions for a home originally designed for the Emperor that has been granted to the Imperial Champion, I'd love to hear them! :)
Quirkyblonde
More screenies of the exterior, as well as some shots of the interior of the main part of the building, just so you can get a look at the textures used for the ayleid-style areas. I am still having a lot of seaming issues in the ayleid areas, if anyone knows the trick to getting seamless ayleid rooms using the construction set, please share it cause I'm so frustrated with this part of the place I could just scream! ub3rman123
What, you're not using snap to grid for seamless things?
Quirkyblonde
snap to grid? How do I use that, tell me tell me tell me!!! XD Sorry, I'm a self-taught modder and still learning all the ins and outs of the CS. This is my first time working with the ayleid tile set. EDIT: OMG, I just figured it out - you're a saint for telling me about this! I've been doing it the hard way for weeks now! Here, accept your halo and wings! ub3rman123
On the CS, look at the top. You'll see two buttons side-by-side. One of them has a grid-like image on it, the other has an angle with a red fill. The grid is snap to grid. It'll work with most tilesets and place them seamlessly. Ayleid ruins are actually the very best with it, because all of the pieces in it are the exact same size. The angle is snap to angle, allowing you to place things at exact angles, like 45 degrees. Quirkyblonde
thanks so much - my seam issues are now solved! Hooray! Here, have some e-cookies of gratitude! ^_^
Quirkyblonde
I'm discovering that Ayleid ruins are a blast to work with, they're full of nooks and crannies that make great seating or display areas. Here's a nice seating area by some stairs I made this morning: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/Oblivion%20Screenshots/ScreenShot131.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v385/coreinha/Oblivion%20Screenshots/ScreenShot132.jpg
