vavrinko
Now I am not very experienced in this topic so I am sorry if it sounds a little insolent. But is it hard to create mods for hair or armor without modding tool?Because DA2 didn't have one as well and I think there were some really good ones. Here are examples of what I mean: http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3205/?http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage2/mods/3575/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fdragonage2%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D3575%26preview%3D&pUp=1 Can we wait something like this in the future of DAI modding? rdr99
You do indeed need tools created for the particular game in order for the then "second tier" mod community to make mods that can actually be added to the game. Go here: (ok... it won't actually let me paste in a link so you can find the pages where they are working on tools). I'll just say that if you type "Dragon Age Inquisition Modding Tools" and you get a return with something starting with http and then daitools and then freeforums with a dot then an org you are probably in the ballpark. These people are no joke, have modded for Skyrim, DAO, DA2, and a lot of other games you have played or heard about, and in fact one or more of them is probably responsible for the hair and face mods you are familiar with. Take a look.
vavrinko
I have found some sites where people were talking about some tools that are being created. I just wasn't sure if it was true or just a joke. I am beginner in modding games and I have so far worked only with CreationKit (but I am awful with it XD) I just wanted to know if we can expect some more complicated mods in future. (Cause DA:I really needs a hairstyle mod) XD
bben46
It's like pounding nails with a rock - it can sort of be done, it won't be pretty, and you might smash your fingers - But it is so much easier with a hammer. The problem is not so much creating the armors and such - the actual creation is done in a 3rd party program such as Blender (exactly the same 3rd party programs that are used for creating meshes & textures for most other games) - the problem is that without that hammer, you are limited in pounding the texture & mesh into the game with that rock. There is no easy way to get the armor both into the game and to actually work in the game like you expect. - Think of bugs like armor clipping through the body, of the character walking and the armor staying put. Or the armor changing shape as the character moves around. - There will be a LOT of hit and miss and a lot of smashed fingers. (broken games) until those tools are available. Hang in there, tools are coming.

Like myself, I cannot even hope to create a mod without tools. I just lack the talent for it really, but with the tools (while I do primarily rely on the creativity of others) I can throw some of my own imagination into the mix and that feels kinda good... and there is so much I'd like to change and much of that will likely not be able to be changed without some decent tools, haha. But I think you asked a good question.
envoy23
hi guys, I have used cheat engine 6.4 to change armour and change levels in d a inquisition, (btw game has very basic nude armour that via inventory edit you can use, but has 1 bug > you cant jump or you crash the game), so my crew run around naked but I stay dressed, if you want to increase levels so you can use better weapons, ensure you make exp min 440000 then chose level (max is 27) but I used 22 to be safe. hopefully modders here will make nmm style mods soon :)
vavrinko
I just wanted to know if there will actually be mods. Because Inquisition have couple of things that need to be changed. The atmosphere is not right sometimes. :D And because I can hardly do more complicated mods I wanted to know if there are people trying to mod it. I hope you guys will be able to create whatever you wish to so you can go crazy with your creations and us other could use them. ( hairstyles and girly dress for the banquet, need it, need it, need it :D ) Thank You all for answering, btw XD Edited December 19, 2014 by vavrinko
Action993
I just wanted to make minor changes such as changing the first warden helmet schematic to the warden helmet without wings. I also wanted to change the inquisition foot soldier armor to the warden armor but if modding tools permit change the symbol in on the chest to the iqusition. Think this will be possible they are small mods.
