Dynastia
Hi everyone. I searched as many keywords as I could think of here and on google but came up short. The question I have is why do Type3 textures work perfectly on such a huge range of Type3 meshes (for instance the new hugely buffed Military/Athlete one) but textures made for breeze simply don't work on non-breeze meshes? Is there a simple way of converting a made-for-breeze texture onto another mesh, or does it require some pretty skilled artwork? All the tutorials I found on converting for meshes were about converting armour. Any help would be greatly appreciated ; I'm trying to make a tattoo parlour mod. Ghogiel
The reason why textures for type3 meshes work for all type3 meshes, is because they are all the same mesh. The UVs are all identical. These textures are laid out on that particular UV so there is no way that texture will work on a different UV. you can use a form of projection to transfer maps across different meshes. Or by using multiple UV channels to transfer maps across the same mesh but have different UV layouts.
Dynastia
Thanks, so this means if I download blender and nifskope I can export the Breeze UV onto a non-breeze mesh (w/ all the original artists permissions of course) and then use the breeze textures without requiring any modelling/texturing/artistic talent whatsoever? I'm finding tutorials now that I have a vague idea of what to be searching for.
