Okay, so after you finish making a mesh, where do you get the skeleton for it? i've seen things in the bsa that end in .go are these skeletons?

And what else do i have to do before i get it in game like

1. make mesh

2. rig

3. texturise

4. replace an objects model with the GECK

Are these the only steps or are there more?

Well it depends on how much you break the steps down into.

0. research/planning/vis ref/setup

1.base mesh/subd/highpoly

2.lowpoly realtime mesh.

3.Uving

4.baking

5.texturing

6.rigging

7.rig testing

8.dismemberment/pipboy

9.finalize asset

10.Geck setup

go.nifs are world models. these are just the models that are used when you throw an item onto the ground and contain the physics and collision etc. the other model is the one that is rigged to the skeleton and is worn on the actor.

skeletons are always named skeleton.nif (or start with skeleton) These are found in the character folder for npc/pc actors or in creature folders.
