Is it easier to use than nifskope? Can you refer me to a video tutorial on how to convert JPEG into DDS and then stamp it on a character model? IsharaMeradin
Creation Kit is free.NifSkope and the Creation Kit do different things. So comparing ease of use between the two is like comparing apples to oranges.I know of no such video tutorials. But you can use GIMP with the DDS plugin to save any image as a DDS file. Kutt
Only a few of the armor nif files are displayed when I try to access them with nifskope. ALL of them should be displayed, but they are not. Could the custom armor and character mesh and texture mods I have installed be causing this problem? http://thumbnails111.imagebam.com/37461/e64d91374609724.jpg Edited December 21, 2014 by Kutt
StupidAnswer
The way to add tattoos to a character( without using overlays from the character creation menu) is to Have a clean version of only the tattoo, then you need to overlay it onto the female texture set( if you are using a replacer this file will be found under Textures/actors/character/female. If you are using the vanilla textures you will have to extract them using fomm or the likes.) Then using photoshop or gimp you overlay the tattoo and merge the layers. You literally just add your image to the default skin texture. Edited December 21, 2014 by StupidAnswer

StupidAnswer
Yes, All of the textures are created by an artist, its more convenient for the programmers and level designers.
