well since my dad and brother and me have had a "debate" about this I figured you guys might get a kick from this

is zombies racist

A zombie is a creature that appears in books, films and popular culture. It is typically a reanimated corpse, or a human being who is being controlled by someone else by use of magic.
thats from wiki if zombie a reanimated corpse and so a vamp does that not seem like it is racist

let's see what happens to me when the undead read this ;D

I don't think I understand what the debate is about. Are you implying that using the word "zombie" is considered racist? Or are you talking about political correctness?

Dictionary.com defines racism as:

  1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
  2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
  3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

Maybe your point was about vampires but the sentence grammar is so butchered up that I cannot discern what you were getting at in relation to a debate about racism.

I don't think zombie is racist as a race is pretty much a concept created by humans. People are born as a certain "race", but there are no instances even in fiction that I can think of where someone is born a zombie. The only way to use zombie as a derogatory term is towards ghouls in Fallout 3, and they used to be white, black, latino/hispanic, asian, etc... before the Great War.

No I dont think so, zombies come from all race groups and nationalities, and sexes ... so it isnt really racist because they cover the entire racial and sexual divide.

Assuming of course that they exist, they are merely sick humans, therefore it isnt racism in the strict sense of the word, but rather discrimination on the basis of illness.

Like people who have leprosy, we stick them out in some camp far away from us because of the possibility of contamination.

Lepers are normal people who just have a very bad illness and they dont have us on their menu ... zombies on the other hand get all hot and sweaty just thinking about munching our *sses ... lmao.

So, lol, discriminate away and eliminate with "extreme predujdice".

I reckon a zombie "flick" night" with titles like Resident Evil, 28 Days later, Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland amongst others are a great motivator for putting things into perspective ... yeah, sometimes

discrimination is a good thing ...

Time to lock and load ... badaboooooooom babe.

Let's stick to the name "zombies" ... political correctness is a crock.

Today while playing Fallout 3, I came across two super mutants and heard the one telling the other that it thought "I used to be a female" ... hey, they all look the same to me ... mutated ...

my firelance took care of them real quick ... ashes to ashes and dust to dust.

Lol consider zombie as racist?

xDD

I never heard about racist zombies or something like that..

Oh, wait, except the zombies from the Nazi zombie mod from Call of Duty World at War.

Maybe theyre racist, but since theyre zombies they are too stupid to understand.

Yes, Call of Duty again ;D

So don't ask any zombie if he is racist if you ever see one, you either run for your life OR

you headshot him with your double shotie desert eagle akimbo style :whistling:

Well, unlife is equal opportunity, so I do not think it matters. Not liking former humans (yes, Doom terminology) who want to suck your blood, eat your flesh or turn you into one of them, is completely understandable!

Oddly enough, it turns out that no, it is not racist, but it is still offensive to judge the undead based solely on their decomposition. It also turns out that if you hand a zombie a questionnaire so that they can perceive that they have a voice; and give them a few seats in congress, even if the delegates are only partially undead, they lose all interest in eating brains and instead focus their unrelenting effort on discussing the politics of the day... Yeah... Go figure.
