riverbrian
The description tells all. The vanilla map that eso has given us really really sucks. you cant zoom in very far, icons are very hard to distinguish and just in general the map sucks. the active quest marker is so small and light colored the you, most of the time, cant even find it. now im not talking a whole re-work of the mapping system, just some upgrades. quest marker should be large and visible for a start. being able to zoom in farther would be nice (maybe the zoom is just me. im playing this on my pc on my tv so it is possible if you have your nose buried in a monitor this isnt a problem. well it is for the rest of us.). im sure theres more bitching to do about the map but its 630am and i only have one cup of coffee down, soooooo.........yeah thnx for your time and if you can fix this problem thank you and good luck. bben46
If you don't like it that much, get busy and make a mod instead of expecting someone else to do it for you. This IS a mod site after all.
NordHep
Never played ESO (can't see myself doing so anytime soon), but is there not a strict regulation regarding modding an online based game?Like, some mods can make gameplay easier for the user and thus be considered something like cheating? So I imagine the UI can't really be altered and within that, the map can't be altered?

bben46
We try to encourage people to mod. Nobody was born knowing how - we all had to learn. And usually what triggered it was seeing something in a game we didn't like and deciding that if nobody else was going to fix it we would do it ourselves. There are lots of tutorials and even entire sites dedicated to learning how to mod. Currently, I don't have any resources specifically for ESO as I don't play it. Hopefully someone else who does can give some pointers on where to find that information.
