  1. Been working on a castle / player home for a while now, much of the interior is done and I'm now working on the exterior. Looking through the amount of exterior ''castle pieces'' available in the Creation KIt; its very limited. I was wondering if anyone know about a good resource mod that adds good, exterior castle walls?
  2. Just wanted to report back: your tip on editing landscape / adding objects at the cell borders did the trick. Thanks to you I now know B can showcase this. Thank you very much, friend!
  3. Thank you very much for the reply. Sorry for responding so late. I'll try these tips and see if it solves anything :)
  4. Working on a small worldspace. I set default landheight to 5000.0000 and water 4500.0000, check the box small worldspace and begin terrain editing and adding objects. Everything seems fine and functioning as intended in the Creation Kit. But when I go in game, to view the worldspace I am greeted with squares of land floating at different heights, which leaves the terrain with open gaps in between. In the Creation Kit this issue isn't visible, only in game. I have absolutely no clue what is causing this issue and have so far created a total of 4 worldspaces to try and troubleshoot the issue, attempted googling similar cases but I've found no answer. I've added an image to show what it looks like.
  5. So I have beeb expanding on a mod I have created and would like to follow up on it by editing the textures of existing armor and clothing. However I face the problem there... I got the latest version of gimp alongside its dds. plugin, but when I attempt to open the files after extracted through BSA I get the following: "dds plugin couldn't open file" or something like that. I even tried paint.net but it too struggles... any solutuons for this?
  6. In response to post #24859404. #24859729, #24859924, #24860149, #24860289, #24860359, #24860679 are all replies on the same post. Oblivion is the game that introduced me to TES. I find that Skyrim has the best mods, however I believe that the modding community for the TES games has become capable of making this possible thanks to the years of expanding the concept that initiated with Morrowind.
  7. In response to post #24859404. #24859729, #24859924, #24860149 are all replies on the same post. I am fully aware of that. But the money Zenimax spend on making ESO is the same money used for Bethesda's games. When they made ESO they used money that could have been used instead on furthering advancing Skyrim (just my opinion).
  8. You know what? If Bethesda decided to continue creating DLCs for Skyrim I would gladly pay for them. But the concept of letting mod authors charge for their mods would be a downfall for the modding community. However, Skyrim is a game with immense potential, imagine the extreme profits they could make by focusing a small team on creating DLCs for the game again. Personally, I have always thought that they should have just dropped ESO and instead focused on expanding Skyrim even more. TES V is a game that could live forever. Like really, I have dedicated well over 700 hours to the game and I still play it...
  9. Well I am not going to use the Steam Workshop for mods, that is for sure. I don't really think I do have any active mods that are from there anyways. But this just makes it even more less tempting to use it...
  10. I don't think I ever would have the courage to perform something like that... Very awesome videos, I found some videos from my service in the HMKG. This was 1 year service as a royal guard and someone in the platoon put together a video from different videos that was taken during that year, the video contains footage of my platoon and our field exercises: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8VV7R3uphI

  12. Most people on this community got a sort of interest in modding, in the sense of using and creating. Many here are very talented mod authors, some may have this has their primary profession and for other this is just an activity they do on the side or to kill some time. I am interested in knowing if this is your primary interest, or do you have other activities that interest you more? Perhaps multiple hobbies and what is your profession? Seeing what type of combinations of interest people got and what brought you to modding and this community? I myself believe I got a weird range of interests, example: I am currently a 2nd year Emergency Medical Service apprentice. I also recently volunteered for service in the national guard, ''effort'' - force / rapid reaction force (directly translated), infantry reconnaissance, previous service; royal guard. Interests: emergency medical response, military, mountain trips, physical activity, playing games and modding (to the best of my abilities). Playing games like TES and Fallout brought me to this community, it started as a huge thing to play Oblivion and Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360; then I realized that there were more content available for the PC - versions of these games and that eventually led me here. Due to the nexus I kinda converted slowly from console to PC. And quite the amount of time have been dedicated to this over the years.
  13. Never played ESO (can't see myself doing so anytime soon), but is there not a strict regulation regarding modding an online based game? Like, some mods can make gameplay easier for the user and thus be considered something like cheating? So I imagine the UI can't really be altered and within that, the map can't be altered?
  14. Something that has been troubling me for a while now is the lack of illumination within the manors. I would love to give more color to the interior, but as I have been attempting several times; the changes I make through the Creation Kit is a lost cause, they do not apply. I'm looking for a solution to this... as it is something I really would like to include in a mod I am working on.
  15. I'd fall asleep in the process of killing them in endless rows. Do it nude then, it will surly make it more interesting, and less boring. Wat? You know, no armor or skin spells they hit a little hard. I forget this not monster hunter, in it no armor means naked. lol. Okay :P
  16. Dragons? They are okay, I just go about doing my own business until they decide to land ... :P
  17. I have nothing against banning people who have priated copies of games, who does not have any good intentions on the Nexus at all. However, things should be a bit better considered. When it comes to a general user or somebody who does not have a history of problems on the Nexus, they should be at least be given proper warnings and chances to show ability of discipline and control again. Some people just say the wrong thing, and then it is ban. And it happens quite occassionally so moderators can't really go back and forth all the time ubanning people etc. So it is a fault on both sides, however, moderators should consider situations a bit more. Moderators are humans yes, but when it comes to a moderating position they should not cast consequences and sentences based on their own views.
  18. Forewords: This is just some general feedback and suggestions, this is not regarding a personal issue or a case. But on the larger scale, this is about how I have experienced the system of consequences, how administrative deal with situations. Not only through my own experiences, but from what I have seen from other users and the handling of different cases, the comparison between situations and the equality of consequences. Client Area The client area is a great concept to have, you have something that you would like to appeal for. Or have issues regarding your membership or other problems that you would like solved, posted through this area of the forums so that staff members can review them and place a response. From my personal experience here, I am a bit disappointed regarding the handling of the different cases. I can understand that there is a lot of situations that users face that might seem of less importance, however, for a case to go over 10 days without any response or not being touched with a single notification is quite hard for people to comprehend. In some topics and threads throughout this forum I have seen those who have had their appeal for personal issues go without response for months. There is no exact timeframe placed to state when a case should be reviewed or resolved, just that it will happen as soon as possible... so in literal sense, one cannot really say this is against promises or rules of the Nexus, but it is somewhat downgrading for the users who have their cases being placed on hold or ignored for a long period of time. This also brings me a bit into the staff members and moderation team when it comes to reviewing a case. I am uncertain of the capacity that this site has to review cases, how many reviews them and how much time they can dispose for it. But as I understand it, a number of staff members will review the case. When it comes to cases, some people do not get the proper answers or information from the staff members or moderators, their cases go without notification or response for a long period of time. So they result to making threads about it in the topics section, these topics might not be directly regarding their issues, but regarding potential bugs and errors, questions regarding the functionality of submitting a case... and some go ignored. Ignoring issues should not be a common thing, moderators/staff members should have to check their inbox regurlary to view messages received. The moderation team When it comes to the moderation team there are those who stands as perfect examples for how a moderator should be, and those who present a less appealing behavior for the users. Now, I have not witnessed a moderator who has done something completely unjustified or out of place, but I've heard from other users regarding their experiences. Those who stands as good examples are those who hold onto the rules but still have a sense of what is truly a necessary consequence and understands true disciplinary functions. The less perfect examples are those who will place extreme consequences upon something of lesser importance. Those who do not quite reflect on a suitable consequence to give, which in turns might not let the receiving part review or reflect properly upon their own actions when they receive a ''grand punishment for a lesser crime''. When it comes to issues from general users, these things should be taken more seriously. Disciplinary system Something I respect with grand value. Discipline is among the most important things in this world as it shapes the behaviour of people and sets standards to how one should commonly be, as it teaches to respect and remain civilized and controlled. However, I experience that there is a bit of inequality when it comes to the disciplinary system, more in depth regarding variations of consequences. It seems like a moderator can place a punishment / act of consequence upon a user / member the way he sees fit. As long as it sticks to the slightest breaking of rules. There is lack of balance in consequences. It makes it seem a lot like the ones casting consequences do it more based on their own personal views rather than abiding to a set of rules, example: A member of the forum gets a warning for doing something from one moderator. While another user does the same thing, but gets a ban from another moderator. And things like this is something the members of the staff could improve upon. There should be a chance of proving capability to maintain proper behaviour and discipline on the forums if you have received punishment for doing something wrong. To redeem yourself, if you will. People who generally have a good stand on the Nexus, rarely into trouble, good behaviour, but falls out once and gets banned or something else, should be allowed to prove themselfs worthy again. Given another chance. Maybe this is how it is meant to be, but it seems like it is not taken seriously. But we also face some inequality here, some have been banned multiple times and still gain access over and over again, while others get banned once and they could easily remain so for a very, very long time. I have heard examples of this, I can't properly confirm it, however just because you are a popular mod author it does not mean you should be treated more gently than a regular user. I am all for banning those who just cause trouble, those who has zero sort of dedication to this. Other things encountered, not by me, but by others is that they claim some moderators back talk banned members etc. If this is true, that is no way to behave as a moderator. As a moderator you are there to uphold the formality and order within the 'Nexus'. The same thing kinda falls in upon general topics and behavior on the forums, the chat is strictly controlled, which is something to respect. But the meaning of it falls a bit apart when you can find foule vocabulary and backtalk through the forums. This could be of topics that highlights and portraits comments from general users in negativity, topics regarding relations between the general users and modders, where the modders talk about complaints from users; where as some might say users should not have the right to complain, but modders should have the right to show complaints from users and complaint about it (makes more or less sense). There are many cases through other forums and channels that shows this type of experience within the Nexus. Some have good and valid points, while some have less valid points and just form rants in rage with curse words. But I have found on a YouTube video that there are 127 comments about this. On another forum, there is an entire topic dedicated to being banned from this place that is over 210 pages. While on a steam forum there are several topics about it, with 50 comments or more. People claim they don't really get justified help from the moderators / staff members, so they post it somewhere else. This is just a general feedback, just consider these words. I like this site, but not everything is perfect.

  21. They are everywhere. All around, in all places. Popping up from every depth, every corner, every... barrel. The interior cells containing them are literally so huge and they are literally so many that they could easily overrun all of Solstheim...
  22. The PM I have sent have been ignored or not read. I have been instructed not to directly post my issue in the forums, but I am only asking to speak to a moderator / staff to hopefully get something resolved. I just viewed in the Forum Rules and Warning that I should contact a member of the staff, but no one is responding or reading my messages. Tell me if you want to listen.
  23. I made a mod... well, it does not exactly add new followers, it just alters the existing ones. Maybe you could see the vanilla followers refreshed. If you like, you could check it out, if you want a mod that adds new followers to the game, I cannot help you :P
  24. huh... If you get discomfort of chestpains from playing a game, call an ambulance  The rest I couldn't piece together...
