I apologize for acting on my misinterpretation.

 

But I have been feeling somewhat terrible about the whole situation, and I've been less than rational.

I feel somewhat responsible for the whole thing, as the file was a resource intended for me.

 

When I read it, even though it was not your intent, my misinterpretation made it a bit like salt in an open wound.

Let me emphasize the only incorrect actions taken here, which would be this following sentence:

"I apologize for acting on my misinterpretation."

Do not apologize. You were polite, kind, and despite the salt, (and if it were me, I wouldn't rub salt in your rounds, I'd lengthen the wound, then shove a salt-lick deep down there laced the cyanide.) kept your composure, expressed your concern, and did so in a way that allows reply, rather than harsh conclusions.

 

If everyone acted on their misinterpretations in the way you did then there would be no more trolls, except for those who would still exist, which makes this statement null and void.

 

Be well, sleep well, fight well, and for God's sake, BAN someone who scorned you already!

My 4th year English teacher for calling me (and I quote) "a lazy little tink" just because I left my homework at home (I actually did). If I didn't only have her once a week and the other teacher the rest of the time I would have failed Standard Grade English.

I loved my English teacher in all my highschool years, except for my Senior year, where I taught that teacher English. I ended up teaching a lot of teachers during my highschool years...... That's why I failed at most every class and almost didn't graduate. It was so boring I just stopped doing everything or paying attention, but every test I passed and all the "official" ones, such as the exit exams, I finished extremely early that people thought I didn't take it seriously, do it, or whatever, and I always got the best score.

 

Ya.. Highschool was boring... Wish I could go back and do it over... I should have cared about the grade, despite what little it meant.

If the teacher was a college professor, there is some leeway, as the student would be legally considered as an adult. Anything otherwise, not so much.

 

And, to justify all my posting in this thread.

 

I ban a girl I asked out once:

 

Strike # 1:

For me having to ask twice for her to realize it.

 

Strike # 2:

For not understanding that in order to laugh at someone behind their back, you have to wait for them to turn around.

 

Strike # 3:

For deciding to share it with her friends to commence Strike #2, again for not realizing to let the person actually leave the room.

 

Banned for actually not realizing that she insulted me.
