chucksteel
Okai. So i made my npc. He turned out to be a ghoul, since asian apparently dont work.. Anyway. How do i make him able to sell things to me? ObLars, I'm not saying this to be rude or, off, in any way, I come here looking to see if anyone is having troubles where I may be able to lend a little assistance. I see your questions, yes a lot of questions. The Problem I have is that your not giving enough information. Your questions are so vague, there large questions and, your not giving us anything to go on. what you've tried, what you don't understand. Think of it as if I asked you, "I want to make a new worldspace, how do I do it?" This is a very hard question to answer, if you don't know what I've tried or, what my skill set is. When I have a problem I first go to the GECK Wiki, then after not being able to figure it out, I ask the community for help. This way I have an understanding of what I understand, what I don't understand and, try to explain my issues fully. If you continue to simply ask vague questions I'm guessing your not going to get much help. As for your question on creating a scavenger, merchant, take a look at the lvlscavenger or, lvlscavengerMale, Use one of them as your base for your new NPC. Create a new form by renaming them, play with the check boxes, see how things change and, react to your edits. This is how you learn. I myself and, many people here or, on the Beth threads are more than willing to come to your aid, they just don't want to feel like they are teaching GECK, 101! In my experience the community has ben more helpful than I ever would have thought possible. A big part of the success of DCInteriors comes from the fact that people were willing to jump in and, lend a hand but, I've always tried to give a comprehensive explanation of what I've tried and, what I didn't understand. My point being, when you only have such a broad question, the likelihood of a good answer is unlikely. Wright us a proper question, telling us your intent, what you've tried to do, where it failed! We'll be able to dissect your issues and, give you real advice. Most people aren't going to spend the time to rewrite something you could simply find over on the Wiki! Again, I'm not trying to be rude, I'm only saying ask a proper question! One liners don't cut it in my book. chuck P.S. and, if your only posting short notes because, english isn't your first language, get over it! Most of us, if not all don't care about that. We're still going to try to help, given enough information.
ObLars
Hm, thanks. I know its not to be rude. Im just very new at using the GECK, therefor asking comprehensive questions is pretty tough. Anyway, i figured how to do it. I made a Quest for my vendor NPC. Created a new Topic "Sell items" i then added a little script to the End result script which opens the vendors Inventory. :)
ObLars
Hm, now i need some advice about how to get an Actor i created, to sit down, all the time. I want the Actor to sit down on a chair inside a interior untill any aggressive actors come across to Kill i.e Steal from the Vendor. Anyone know how to? Im sure i can't make a Actor sit in the Geck, without a package, or am i wrong? Hope this summs it up for you guys. :) I also got a problem getting my NPC vendor to sleep with the Sandbox Package. I got everything checked Eat, sleep, wander etc.Mattresses placed inside the cell his in. He just won't use it. The same with Furniture. He just keeps walking 2-3 steps back and forward, like a moron. I would love some help with this.. Also, the problem with "races". I can use Caucasion, Hispanic and Ghoul. But Asian and Afro American won't work. The textures work inside the GECK, but once i test the esp out on Fallout, its reset to Hispanic/Caucasion. Any help with that would also help me a lot. And.. Since im already asking a lot of questions - How do i add excisting topics to my NPC vendor? I can only get the ShowBarterMenu to work with a custom topic, not a existing one. Through a Vendor Quest. Any ideas? Is there a way to make use of a Real World radio channel in Fallout? I mean, wouldnt it be nice to hear about good/bad news, a few nice songs playing while you scavange the waste? I'd like to use some Norwegian Channel, since im norwegian. Is this possible? This is a "project" where im trying to repopulate the empty stores throughout the Wasteland. Im quite sick of being alone all the time, with only a few other wastelanders in sight. I do know the basics, but every single advice would help me a lot. So if anyone could post script codes i.e "ShowBarterMenu" , A few tips & Tricks would also be apriciated. :)
Quetzlsacatanango
Make your chair persistent. Give your NPC a travel package with the chair as teh destination. To fix the skin issue, you need to make your esp a master, via FOMM/Fo3edit/fo3 plugin utility.

Hm, so for the chair issue i just make a Travel Package, with a chair in the same cell as target/destination. Even though its inside a interior? Making my Esp. a master file.. Pros, cons? :) Thanks for reply. :)
Quetzlsacatanango
It doesn't matter what cell it's in, as long as it's persistent. Cons of making it a master are that you have to demasterize it when you want to edit it. That's pretty much it as far as I know.

But i guess "Demasterize" is a button i can click? Thanks. :)
