hlvr
Well... I'm wondering if there's any way to get rid of these very unwanted neck seams (necklines). I use HGEC and Robert's Male Body v5.I also use Natural Faces. I've tried HGEC and Robert's without Natural Faces as well, but the necklines are still there. :( I've also tried the following mods, both with and without Natural Faces: Luchaires HGEC Body Seam Reducer (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19738)Robert Male Better Necklines (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19533) All have ended with pretty much the same results as before... seams.I've read the Robert's Female Body is supposed to have few seams, but even if that would work, it doesn't explain why I get seams with Robert's Male Body. Any help is really appreciated here, I'm lost in an ocean of endless seams...
Megatarius
The sad fact is, nobody really tackled this one. Basically, the neckline exists because the face texture has different color values at the UV's for the neckline than the body texture. If one was to go into GIMP and copy the color value from one texture with the eye dropper tool, and apply it to the other texture at the right place with the paintbrush tool, set to feathered edges, it would look fine. Bethesda never cared to fix it because they were more concerned with an XBOX 360 Launch date than quality in the little details, and because they probably only tested the game with a male character with heavy armor the whole time who never has the neck showing anyway. (Did you know: the actual texture file for the Player and NPC's is the same file for each race except Beasts, Orcs, and Dark Elves. It's a male face, complete with very dark beard shadow. This is used for females as well. Sure they hide the beard with different slider settings, but it's proof they only had one character type in mind when they made the game.) So yeah, I'm not sure of any mods the fix it. Sorry.
hlvr
That's a shame :/ But, then... how come these screenshots from the mod Robert Male Better Necklines looks pretty decent (seamless-wise):http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/19533-1-1220788561.jpghttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/19533-4-1220817201.jpg Is there something I'm doing wrong? Why doesn't mine look like this? :S
Rabbit1251
You can also try a Neck Seam Concealer to hide the seams on the female body. These do not look good on a male character, however. Rabbit
hlvr
I'm aware of that too... and it works pretty good, but the real problem is that I can still see neck seams on NPCs (which you look at very often due to dialouge). Still, I don't understand why the necks have seams in my game, while not in the screenshots of the mod I posted.:(
Megatarius
You still have them with the better necklines mods? I can't answer that. I've never tried them....
Naktis
I never tried those mods too but thought about it. I've read in some race mods descriptions that Before creating a character RESET the face. If you don't,the skin will not be colored properly. I don't know if this involves neck seams but maybe it'll help.
hlvr
Yes I tried the Better Necklines mod for Robert's male body v5... but I saw no improvement, neither on my character nor on any NPCs. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong (if I'm doing anything wrong). :SBut it seems I'm at least not alone here, right? You all have the same problem, or?
