chemswede
Ok, so if you have downloaded or read the description for the mod "Fellout" then you have seen this phrase: "200 years since the bombs fell and somehow everything is tinted green?" I loved Fallout 3 for months, I got a reasonably high level, but as the story started to come together something really starting bothering me. Enough that I stopped looking forward to playing and eventually quit. Here it is: If this disaster happened 200ish years ago, how come in so many houses and shops it is still such a mess? I mean seriously, you can't even pick up that filing cabinet off the floor, or dump that pile of trash outside your house? Even in my own house in Megaton, it is pretty poor, and I even have a helper robot that seems to do nothing useful :) So I did a little searching for a mod that would help solve my frustration, but I only really found 1 so far. "Project Clean" but it has not been downloaded much: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12897 Is there a better one? Does this bother anyone else? Thanks for any suggestions! OtakuHanzo
You can check out Recovering Wasteland (http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14340) if that's your thing. I was personally upset by it, but it's one of the more popular "clean" mods out there. I say I was upset by it only because it detracted from the atmosphere to me. Personally, Fellout with greener grass is good enough for me. But to each his own, I say. Check RW out. It might be what you need.

That one looks interesting, but like you I think that would kill some of the feel as well. I don't mind the outside world being a mess and broken down, but what bugs me is that people have been living in their "shacks" or "houses" for years it would seem, and the inside of these houses still have piles of dirt and broken things all over. I feel like why wouldn't the inside of some of these houses be a bit cleaner? Heck, I could even see things like piles of trash outside of a house but the inside being nice because they just throw all the junk out a window. Basically I want a mod that is pretty much a "Jr. go clean up your room" kind of mod.
bethjunkie
The mod I use isn't available any longer but Taking Out The Trash is good for cleaning up the place and Particle Nuller gets rid of dust and smoke particles. Better Game Performance will get rid of burned books and some rocks you'll never miss. It's only a start at cleaning up the world but losing paper litter, burned books and dust makes a heck of a difference.
chemswede
Hey, those don't look too shabby. I don't mind the junk outside, but I really do mind it inside so if I have to get rid of it in both places to get rid of it outside then I'll probably go that route. Thanks! If anyone know of any more, keep sending em my way!
