PierreDole
Hey guys,I'm looking for a mod witch make other bows enchantable with the Zephyr bow entchantment. I dont know why there isnt already such mod. Maybe I didnt found it, or maybe such mod is not possible? Anyway I'll try a request for it. I image an entchantment that increase 1% speed at base/low entchantment level and goes up to about 35%, 40% at level 100. Is something possible? I know, there are mods that increase the shooting speed of bows. But i dont want to it happen to all bows. On the other hand, i want to create my own bow. (I'm using the multiple entchantment mod)
DoctorKaizeld
what do you mean by 'other' bows?
Mebantiza
What do you think he means by other bows? Clearly he wants to be able to apply a bow haste enchantment@an arcane enchanter. The idea he has in mind, is to be able to end up with a Max smithed Daedric Bow of Haste(and a secondary effect like say, para or fire, whatever.) And Its prob safe to assume he'd like it to stack with quick shot perk as well, for an ~+70% haste on a crafted bow. IoW, he'd like an semi-automatic bow.... VileTouch
zephyr is not an enchantment, it is a property of this unique bow, like the price or the weight, so if you were to apply it to, say a daedric bow, then EVERY daedric bow in the game would have the same effect...that applies for enemies as well of course. the same is applicable to all the other unique weapons, such as the Longhammer, the Targe of the Blooded, the Woodsman's Friend and so forth. is it possible to modify the appropriate value via script? err... yes, but why would you want to change a non unique value? do you realize the implications? specially AFTER you get bored of it. is it possible to turn it into an enchantment? the answer is a resounding NO. Deleted1308005User
"is it possible to turn it into an enchantment? the answer is a resounding NO."Umm, I'm not so sure about that. There's plenty of effects already in-game. Also, I do recall there's a shout which increases attack speed, it does have magical effect tied to it.*Opening CK*I'd say it's possible to make it into enchantment. It just takes a bit time to reverse-engineer the elemental fury into tiny bits, and I have no interest to do that.
DoctorKaizeld
What do you think he means by other bows?i have no idea, why do you think i asked? seriously? anyways Shadowjin is correct.
lofgren
No, Shadowjin is mistaken. The way that you typically increase attack speed in-game is by increasing WeaponSpeedMult and LeftWeaponSpeedMult. Unfortunately increasing these stats has misleading effects on bows. Increasing WeaponSpeedMult does increase the speed of knocking an arrow, but not draw speed. Unfortunately it does increase the speed of the animation. This means that the player might THINK that they have an arrow fully drawn, but when they release it all they get is one of those dud shots that goes right into the ground. That's why the quick shot perk sets a graph variable to let the engine know that the animation has been sped up. There are a couple of ways you might address this with SKSE but they are all unsatisfactory in my opinion due to unintended consequences.
DoctorKaizeld
doesnt that make him still correct though? it just wont have the affect you want but it will still be sped up. i'm not gonna argue the point though you're better at the modding side of things than i am im just curious. It was a good guess though and the only reason I know it won't work is because I was trying to reverse engineer the quick shot perk.
PierreDole
what do you mean by 'other' bows? Not the Zephyr bow. Or: all other bows. Sorry, english isnt my main language. :) Ok, so it sounds it is not possilble to make such entchantment. And whats about making Zephyr enchantable? Is this possible? The Dawnguard crossbows are enchantable although they comes with an enchantment/property.
