Recharge

When fighting the weapon looses its charge is there a way to recharge a weapon. Maybe a way to increase the charge before a fight. There is a lot to learn in this game, I guess this is what makes it so good. This forum also helps make the game better as without help some would give up. Thanks for all your help. B)

Enchanted items are "powered" by the soul used to enchant them and contain "x" number of total enchantment points; a certain number of which are expended with each use. There is no way to increase these numbers once the enchantment is cast, and the only thing that will recharge an enchanted item is time. If you need to recharge your enchanted items, try to find a safe place to rest, or at least wait. Waiting will recharge your enchanted items, but only resting will restore your Magicka.

Not true, not true, ;)

You can always recharge the item using soulgems with captured soul inside. There are plenty of petty soulgems around in the boxes, trap some Cliff Racers or Kagouti and use the soulgem on your character. Menu will appear asking whether you want to enchant smth or recharge, just click recharge an item and chose which one. Voila!

The higher is your Enchant skill, the less often you will fail doing it.

that's also one of the best ways to get enchant up really high at a fast rate. Just make cast when used items that summon something, trap the soul with azura's star and recharge it. wash rinse repeat.

Get the Soul Trap spell, best if you can learn it but you can buy scrolls. Cast it on the target creature, kill the creature and you should trap the creature's soul. Make sure you get a selection of Soul Gems though, you may need to get plenty of Petty and Lesser Soul Gems for Rats, Cliff Racers, Nix Hounds etc.

Also be aware that every soul has an enchantment value, when recharging items the soul's enchantment value will determine how much the item will be recharged. Mudcrabs have the lowest value (5) while Ascended Sleepers and Golden Saints have the highest (400). Everything else is somewhere in between.

Concerning Soul Trapping,

I spent about 6000 for enchanter and made myself a ring with Soul Trap spell cast when used. I can trap about 8 souls before it depletes, and it recharges quite fast.

Easy as pie :P Especially if you set one of the fast keys to this ring.

You could also put soul trap on a sword (or combine with damage effects in a custom spell) to get souls in to gems. I use soul trap 9 secs plus extra damage on a sword to trap souls. There are a couple of quests that also yeild soul trap weapons. For really beardy trick you could do a combine summon/soul trap custom spell say summon beastie X for 9 secs and soul trap for 10 secs (that way when it vanishes you trap the soul)

Does that really work??? I'm gonna have to start hoarding more grand soul gems. Summon soul-trapped Golden Saint here I come! :D

I highly doubt that works unless perhaps the soul trap is a radius spell, even then I don't think it would work. If you've actaully tested this theory then w00t time to actaully do the azura star quest and have an infinite supply of golden saint gems. But the problem is when a summon goes away it isn't exactly dieing unless you physically kill it right?
