Imrama
Hi everyone, I've been trying to simply get an item from morrowind.esm to use new custom made mesh (.nif) and icon (.dds) files and it simply is not registering into my games. Could I be missing something from my procedure? 1) I open morrowind.esm from data files2) Find the item, and double click it3) Change the location of the files I want it to use, then hit save on the dialogue box4) Click file > save5) Save as a new .esp in my Data files folder6) Activate it from the launcher/TESTool The new mesh/texture doesn't show up in game and I can't find my .esp in the data files folder, even though it still sees it from the plugin manager programs. It's extremely weird. Thanks in advance for any and all help, as usual!
Dragon32
Where's Morrowind installed? Don't install it in Program Files.

hollaajith
Also, if you only have Morrowind.esm as active while making the mod, GMSTs haunt your mod  So have either Tribunal.esm or Bloodmoon.esm or both loaded while creating a mod. Imrama
Thanks for the help from both of you guys so far, but it still doesn't work  To recap, I have now: 1) Moved morrowind to C:\Bethesda\Morrowind2) Made a new .esp from TESCS with morrowind.esm, tribunal.esm, and bloodmoon.esm all active at the same time... I even used TESTool to update the load order for it so that it loads last. Still no cigar. Any thoughts? P.S. and on a possibly remotely related tangent - Are or can the MCP and the MPP work or be installed together?
