Unlike their less positive counterparts, optimists will at least try to find the good in even the most difficult of people, and are much more willing to place their faith in others. Although this doesn't mean that you should trust the good intentions of everyone you meet, a leap of faith every once in a while couldn't hurt.

I have to say there's exactly as many of optimists as pessimists. I'm really not sure who I am, when I can trust people, e.g. I know them well, then my 'number on scale' would be about 25. But then if I don't trust these people I'm about 50-55
