I have the same problem. It just won't open.

Unless I use the bug dump command itself, as the target in the shortcut:

C:\Python25\python.exe bash.py -d

Try that. Substitute any of that with your own folder arrangement as needed.

I already have, i tried to run the program with the bug dump command and it still doesn't work.

Although these syntax-errors make me think that it is a library-error of some sorts since with Wrye Python you install a whole lot of libraries and stuff. So I'm uninstalling everything that has python in it and reinstalling Wrye Python.

I got it working!

For people having the same problem as I;

Uninstall Wrye Bash and Wrye Python (Anything related to Python pref.)

Install Wrye Python and then Wrye Bash.

The launcher for Wrye Bash doesn't work so you have to manually click bash.py, you'll get a cmd window of python up every time, but it's the only way to get it working.

This is happening to me as well. It was working last night, but this morning clicking on the launcher did nothing. I was on Python 2.5 and an older Wrye Bash, so I updated to Wrye Bash 2.88 and Python 2.6.5 but the problem persists.

Wackogm, what exactly do you want me to uninstall to get it to work? Do I uninstall Python or just Wrye Bash?

Uninstall both Python and Wrye Bash. Get the Wrye Python 03a file and install that. It has additional libraries for python that Bash relies upon . Then install Wrye Bash 288.

Just tried that, and it still won't open. I'm on Windows 7 x64 if that makes a difference.

Also on Wrye Bash Launcher it now says Python File (No Console) if that means anything.

Would be a good idea to wipe old register key's and stuff with CCleaner for example. Make sure you open the bash.py-file with python.exe and not something else. From my experience the launcher doesn't work much in W7.

I had the problem where the construction set would not save under windows 7, until I did the compatibility thing. To get some windows XP programs to work with windows 7, you may need to right click on the program icon. A menu comes up with one the choices being "compatility" . Click on that and you will have the choice "compatility with windows xp". That worked for me. Maybe it will work for Wrye Bash.

You might need to change the properties of pythonw.exe (possibly and bash.py) to "Run as administrator".
