Locusthorde300
I recently followed a tutorial on the GECK website on how to make my own gun (a sniper rifle, in my case) everything works fine, but the gun breaks WAY too fast to be anything reasonable... i added another 100hp, (to 200hp total) so idk why its breaking faster than the normal sniper :/
Nadin
Did you override the damage to weapon multiplier? It means to the original weapon, not to other weapons.I made the same mistake.

If i knew how to upload just that guns Esp. i could tottally have you guys (assuming more than one person's looked at this) fix it real quick... all it is is a Sniper rifle with almost 0 bullet spread, like 1000 damage, and 1 rnd Clip... :/ ... and the ID is different
Nadin
Check, and set it to zero. That should fix the gun breaking.
Ghogiel
isn't gun damage a multiplier for how fast a weapon degrades...? making the thing do 1000 dmg and then only doubling the gun hp is not going to be sufficient. you will likely need to make the hp something like 5000 to have it degrade at a similar rate. When editing a weapon in the GECK there is a section with two fields in it, one to set how many actions points you use per shot/hit while in VATS, and the field right below it is to set the Damage To Weapon Multiplier. If the checkbox is unchecked and the value unaltered then the default multiplier will be used. Every weapon I've customized I've checked that box and set the value to 0. With that setting, regardless of how much damage the weapon does, it doesn't take damage. The only time I've seen the weapons take damage with that setting is when I've been too close to an exploding vehicle or explosion in general, and then the damage is minimal. Taking into consideration I've made a Sniper Rifle that does 2000 base damage with a 1000 Critical, I know it works that way.
