Elem3nt0 Posted October 16, 2010 Share Posted October 16, 2010 I just installed the RR Companion vault mod http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3644 I am writing this because i am having a problem where no matter what door i use to enter the vault from the access tunnels, the game will crash upon loading the new area. I cant seem to figure out exactly what the problem is, im hoping someone else had this problem and maybe fixed it. I am starting to think it could be my load order. I will mess with it some more, but please, any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated. I also am using the refurbished vault mod. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I use Refurbished with it too and since having to masterupdate my game for other mods, I can no longer enter the vault either but the tunnels and other homes are fine. Any ling mod that i have, which effects any clothing by lings mod, causes the game to crash upon entering vault 1 that has people outfitted with lings clothing. After disabling Lings mod's the game works absolutely fine. I dont understand how this could be conflicting when it says they are compatible??? Also, i am using the re furbished vault mod, and when i disable re furbished and keep lings mod active, there is no problem. I cant keep it and save like that though or i will lose all of my weapons and clothing that i have stored in the vault using the re furbished mod. I am lost, please help. BaronofHe11 Posted October 20, 2010 Share Posted October 20, 2010 It isn't lings because I use the ling mod and it works fine with the vault. The problem is most likely the vault itself plus the mods you have corrupted your save file. The way to fix that is to turn off all auto saving . Then save your game and then kill your character. I usually use a bunch a mines and shoot them at point blank range. The game will then start you at your last save and fix your save at the same time. After that you should be able to go through the door. If that doesn't work you could be at your mod limit. To test this just install lings mod, the vault, and the scouts mod. If you can go in and out with just those mods and nothing else start adding mods a few at a time until the problem pops back up starting with the mods you can't live without. Elem3nt0 Posted October 20, 2010 Author Share Posted October 20, 2010 Alright well. I re enabled all of lings mods and tried the old save from infront of the vault 1 entrance from the access tunnels. I saved my game, then killed myself with a grenade launcher. It loaded my game back up and i tried to enter and again, game crashes. Perhaps i do have too many mods installed. I should also mention that every once in a blue moon it will let me in the door, but only for 1 second, if that. During this one second i can see the vault insides but they dont appear to have loaded properly, some floors are missing and see through etc. This is what i could see in the 1 second before it crashes, and i can only enter the vault to see this glimpse if im LUCKY. Upon disabling lings finer things, and lings pretty things, everything works fine. Even if i keep lings finer things.esm loaded. I do not use master update, in fact ive never even heard of it. I know for a fact that each of my mods are installed correctly unless i missed something, but i doubt it, ive been adding mods to this and TES since it came out, and i make sure to always read requirements and conflict notices. I dont know if it is worth mentioning but during that 1 second glimpse into the vault i was writing about, there is an NPC in the hallway (the one with all the flags, before the big robot door), she is stuck there trying to go back into the vault, but cant because the robotic door is closed. Also this NPC is RR Angela Staley or something? i have the RR mod that adds copies of the quest NPC's. Again, not sure if it was worth mentioning but im trying to give every detail i can. Another thing to note is after buying every single piece of clothing from the ling store at tenpenny tower, i brought themm all back and placed them all in one wardrobe in the Quarters area of the vault, i noted that my problem started after dropping all of these items off, leaving the vault, and then trying to re enter. Perhaps i made a mistake by putting all those items in the wardrobe. Not the cosmetic mods, just the mod that adds the store and outfits to the game. It works for a little while and then all of a sudden it will just crash every single time i enter vault 1. Im using the entrance from megaton instead of the tunnel access and still, everytime i enter vault 1 my game crashes. When i disable lings finer things, everything works perfectly and smooth.
