Oblivion Mod Reccommendations anyone?

Hey so im new to modding Oblivion. I spent the last 7 months playing my modded out version of Fallout 3, So i understand the modding process and im not new to it. I would like some suggestions as to what to look for as far as making Oblivion my own game (in a sense). I played through a lot of the game on my PS3 so the story is irrelevent to me at this point. If you have a favorite mod, or if you know some mod combinations that work together really well, i would really appreciate your reccomendations and will definately endorse any mod i truely enjoy.

I have Exnems eyecandy (original) body mod installed. Im currently using Natural Faces as a Hair and Face mod, i dont know if there is one thats better out there, it came highly endorsed.

aside from that i have the FFVIII gunblade weapon mod installed, some random armors downloaded yet to be insalled, but apparently eyecandy compatible.

Downloaded some Conan swords. Im always browsing and keepin an eye out on my own, but if you have a mod you really love, please send it my way, as im really unfamiliar with with the best working/most compatible mods oblivion has. Thanks, any feedback is really appreciated guys.

Hmm...

I suggest you to install All Natural (it's the best weather mod for me) and Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (I prefer not to install FCOM or MMM because I want to control all in my game and either don't want tasteless mess of creatures).

Elsweyr is really cool mod, it brings a whole new province to the game, you probably should try it.

Real Swords series brings many beautiful and great quality weapons into the game

Oblivion Sound sets allows your character to speak (there's many to choose from)

Also see Phitt's mods - he created many interesting and original things such as artifacts or explosives

I see some suggestions already posted I would have made myself (especially Elsweyr). I almost get a little sick of seeing myself suggest this mod, but I really loved the puzzle aspect of Heart of the Dead, the mod blew me away overall, and if you don't mind a brain workout and a fleshed out journey with several different companions here and there, I highly suggest it. Another very good exploration mod was Lost Spires, and if you're looking for something unique, I like the Akatosh mount download, nothing beats a flying dragon for negotiating rough terrain. If you use a mage (or even if you don't), there is a mod called Druid Mod that gives you special nature based powers as you level normally, it doesn't really even require quests to earn them (just a certain level of skill in different magic schools). It eventually gives the option of an on-demand werewolf transformation that I really enjoy and some really cool creature summons.

It depends on your tastes really ... if you're into lore friendly mods or hot chicks, really. All of the Bananasplits Better Cities stuff is sheer genius, best enjoyed after years of milling about in the original cities first. Hoarfrost Castle is great. The Armory Lab is kinda can't live without it coolness if you're a pack rat. Viconia Devir is a super companion mod, especially if you were ever a D&Der. You can go in so many directions ... (spent a week in Storm Trooper armor killing everything in sight with supercool lightsabers, for example.) If you're at all into that kinda manga/hentai style, then anything Colourwheels or Hentai has done is staggeringly awesome. HentaiMania and HentaiMania 2 rock. Ummm ... a really cool idea is to go into the Tesnexus mod site, click on the Categories link, and then choose the category of mod you want. when the list pops up, reset it to sort by Endorsements and Desc to see the mods in that category with the most endoresements. Agruably, these mods will be the best in that category, as determined by this awesome community's endorsements. Anytime a mod has 90 endorsements or something, it's a pretty safe bed that it's very pro. Hope that is somewhat useful. Sorry for not posting links, but everything I mention is easily found on the site. Peace.
