Can you make an armor static?

Hey every1

I'm working on a mod and need to place a normally playable armor into a cell as a static object, sort of like a display armor

Any one know how I can manage this, or if it is even possible?

i think i found something that can help you

look here, at the bottom of the page

i think this is what you need

EDIT: just noticed about this being a Fallout question, but i don't think that there is a difference, so i think this should work just the same

Thx for the tip

But sadly I couldn't use the information in the link, I think it's because the item mentioned in the link is a static object to begin with, where as the armor is a model which has movable parts, but not sure :(

well, in that case, i don't know, but i know someone who does know

do you know this mod??

if you do, then you should remember the static Intervention on the workbench

you can contact the author and ask him how he did it, i'm sure he will be glad to help you

if you do find a way to do it, maybe write a tutorial, so that others won't have to ask that :)

Have you just tried making a new static object that uses the worn (Not GND) version of the armor? If you do that, it should work, but it won't have collision.

If you place this type of objects in GECK they freeze in place and can't be moved manually and wouldn't dare to guess how it will react in-game, so sadly that won't work :(

Have tried adding it as both a "Static" and a "Static Collection" both without any luck

It won't matter if it doesn't have havoc, because it will be placed inside a frame that does, which usually will be good enough for GECK to accept it

It really sucks because the mod I'm working on is basically finished, but without this last piece it won't really be as good as intended

Supposedly if you just don't give it a name it will act as a static object. I haven't tried it but I'm pretty sure that's how folks like steeltooth put display weapons all over the place.

Well adding a weapon is very easy and can be done by just dragging the weapon directly into GECK without any special actions, but then again all weapons have "havoc" as a general, which armors don't and I think that is the main problem.
