Quirkyblonde
My new mod is set to be released in a little over a week and it seems that it is not compatible with COBL. Does anyone out there know how to make a compatibility patch for COBL? If you want to see my mod, here's a link to the sneak preview thread: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/237308-a-first-look/
David Brasher
In what aspects do you conflict with COBL? What method did you employ to discover that you conflict with COBL? The plan of attack would be to find out what the conflicts are and rework the mod so that it does not conflict but still functions the same, or determine which things a patch would need to work on. It is also possible that the conflicts could turn out to be benign and would not harm your house or harm things in other mods elsewhere in Cyrodiil. Quirkyblonde
My beta tester uses COBL and I do not. This is how I found out it is not compatible. I'm not sure what aspects are not compatible, but it tends to cause a CTD when combined with my mod.
Quirkyblonde
This is what my beta tester had to say: I dont know what it is with COBL...I started a completely new game with COBL deactivated, but when I activate your .esp, I get a message from COBL  It says that the genericlore scripts have been changed and this would cause problems with COBL functioning correctly...but COBL is not active :blink:I have asked friends what might cause this and one possibility is some of the resources are COBL dependant...but i know you dont use COBL. luxwing0go
I don't think it has to do with your resources being COBL dependent. Maybe one of your files is trying to act in place of one from COBL? Or vise-versa? Have you tried using OBMM to see where it conflicts with COBL? It will list what files exactly it conflicts with. TES4Edit will also show you comparisons between your mod and COBL, then you can see where exactly it conflicts. If you release your mod before you fix this conflict, be sure to warn everyone until you get it fixed. If anything let more people BETA test it to see what they come up with. Quirkyblonde
It seems he forgot one COBL esp. When he turned them all off, there was no conflict message and the game seemed to run fine even with the conflict message. I'll have him try that though, since I don't run COBL it would be silly for me to do it myself. :) Thanks for the ideas. I'll be sure to warn people that it isn't COBL compatible - yet. :)
