Use the restore backup functionality if you want to restore your setup (when it talks about 0.54 it means 0.53): http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_restore_or_revert_to_an_NMM_backup

New nexus mod manager utilizes hardlinks. But there is one problem with hardlinks in Windows system. In layman words, windows explorer do not "recognize" hardlinks properly while counting files/folders size.

So for example, if you extract 1Gb file for a mod to virtual install folder and then you make hardlink for this file in Skyrim folder, explorer will report that 2Gb of space was taken.

And if you reach disk/partition limit, you will be not able to write more data (system will not allow you) even if physically 1Gb should be/will be still free...

This is huge disadvantage for me (from system point of view)

In response to post #22104034.

Free space reported by explorer is always able to tell real files from links, but when you check the size of a folder by right-clicking and selecting properties it is indeed "bugged" (I think it is working as intended for Microsoft).

Eg.: If I install Immersive Armors, both my skyrim data folder and my mods/virtualinstall folder report a size increase of 2,5Gb, for a total of 5Gb; but if I check the free space available on that HD by going into Start Menu - Computer I see it only decreased by 2.5Gb , also trying to install a game through Steam will report a decrease of available space of just 2.5Gb.

Not true...

Skyrim folder without hardlinked mods (clean install) ~8,7 GB
Skyrim folder with hadlinked mods (in my case) ~20 GB

Windows explorer do not count size correctly. Edited by ZjemTwojegoKota
