jack254
i would do it myself, but i dont have f3 on this pc, fallout 3 (and its expansions) had a lot of cool armour that isnt in nv it also had a giant wasteland, that could be edited slightly so that a bridge (or vertibird) could allow travel between the two zones (the first quest should also be destroyed now, is it possible? and if it is, could some oblivion stuff be ported (i know most of it cant, but some is good enough)? BEArbiter
Please, Bethesda Don't like it (porting from game to game), even if you own all the games. We can't talk about that here. For mod ressources, you need modder Approval.
bben46
Yes, Some of it, but not all. Here is a link to explain howhttp://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/250761-converting-fo3-mod-for-fnv/page__pid__2246540#entry2246540 Now, if you do convert a mod, Please remember, a conversion is not original work. Unless the Fallout 3 mod was yours also it is probably someone elses work and cannot be uploaded to our file page without their permission. However you can use it on your own computer as you please. Many Fallout 3 mod makers will port their own mods to New Vegas, but it may take a little time. Meanwhile we will be banning people that are reported for trying to take credit for someone elses hard work. Not all mod authors are interested in porting their own and they may welcome having it done for them - Before uploading a port of someone elses mod - ASK FIRST! Tubal
Not everything is ported I believe, but most things are. ASK FIRST!QFT. Most modders are only too happy to let you use their work, as long as credit is given, and permission is asked for.
cerebus23
yea i got 3 pms out asking for permission for the mod i made for classic armor and aliens pulse gun, and got 2 returns to say you can use it just give credit. one more pm and i can release the thing bundled into one plus this year the pulse gun will have 99 ammo and its own "caseless" ammo to use and be in stores and some npcs using it, saw one today sporting it while playing the game. only thing i would like to do else to it is make caseless ammos craftable for it. This is an analysis of all assets that are being used in FO3 and FNV. Link FNV shares about 1/3 of its assets with FO3, if i read it right.
