M48A5
Regardless of the amount of RAM you have installed in your system, by design, Fallout 3 will not utilize more than 2GB of RAM. The only way around this is to make the Fallout3.exe Large Address Aware. It would appear that you did not do something right if you have tried to make the game use more than 2GB of RAM. My game would freeze when trying to go through a modded vault door when I had a lot of items in my inventory. After I made the game use more than 2GB of RAM, the problem disappeared. Purr4me
Okay just got back into town, downloading files now apparently there's two of them I see, out down the screen shots as well.I see you mention end and sweet FX, note ENB graphics alters Mods and Texture and misc files on how they are just placed on the screen this may be where your problem lies. Purr4me
Un-able to obtain the downloads from that web site share....the button does nothing on any of the networks I have access to. try 2shared.com...that one works.Flicker , I can see the shots clearly, there are 2 doors in that cell effected.2 things prior to obtaining a test file from you.test file must be UN-modded saved game file...DLC only and fallout 3 with ENB intact. rest file UN-modded saved game file with DLC and :without ENB enabled and *.dll removed from game directory while game is loaded up. These steps are best performed By you, with your data.A saved game file as before, with everything loaded up. remember, I have to rebuild Your game here, on a foreign system, naked motherboard and graphics set up ,raw vanilla and just blank Empty plugins produced from the saved game file to match the requirements to load the data base.I will not be testing any ENB series data for you as that would not even come close.I'll teach you one small thing about 4gig enablers.... you need a raw, UN-altered copy of your engine.you need 7z zip archive....any version. cff explorer will be the test tool used.7z will also be the test tool used...as you observe a before and after effect of the data used by the 4gig thing. Point: breaking the engine to over ride limits, has it's drawbacks, understanding this definition is irrelevant to many any way as I have no control over minds or opinions. How ever, those of you that have seen a download get screwed up, incomplete, will know what the7z program will say....because it reads the files integrity ,so after "patching" / altering it / breaking it to accommodate more ( ehem...RAM) you will see the file is in the very same state as a bad download, so...that being a fact and NOT fiction...you are dealing with a broken game engine combined with all the rest that goes along with this. limits to just how far you can push such a set up shows up after 100 hours game run-time....in game real time...and 125 average mod load order. corrupted game files leave too much open to opinions and close the doors to properly diagnose known disc products. NOTE: xedit /aka .tesedit comes already over gig enabled as the tech's are allowed to change those executable s, we are not allowed to alter our executable s...the game engines in any way other than approved usages....so here is where things got messed up. These tools are not in a corrupted state if extracted with 7z to a folder as lose files....thus is the test I have provided here for inspections. A clean 1.7 patched game engine gets altered but does not include ram configurations....where they should have done so. 2008...was so long ago.....7 years too late. CRC is code integrity. think of it as the modding programs look at them, it's there for a reason and not to be blinded by pride or believes. upload elsewhere if you still wish help ,all I can offer is an attempt to reproduce and then rectify the bug. kitty Black. The room exit is but a opaque grey doorway that when I pass through I drop down into the same area.Is this a known bug? I have loaded and unloaded this save as well as exited the game a couple times. How can I get out and complete this quest? Is this solved by using a specific console command?any help greatly appreciatedwastlanderupload all screen shots a to a site that host them and post a link here to it, the thumb nail shot here is so bad, I can not determine where in the games structure your at. As far as that place ? upload a zipped up copy of the saved game for inspection... a method used to inspect data you have installed. This will most of the time reveal the reason why a problem is there, if it can be solved easy or not. What is here is very little data to go on .I'll respond kitty. Thanks KitttyBelow are screens of the issue of the cells not loading correctly effectively trapping me in the anchorage war memorial. https://www.flickr.c...s/69892771@N05/ here is link to the save filehere http://www23.zippysh...iwZqj/file.htm Still wondering what might be causing this what i suspect is memory related issue.I have the Large address aware enabled. wastlander
Hello Kiity Black, Thank you for your suggestion and offer and views on some technical aspects of F03. I have tried a few things to fix the issue of grey doors or cells not loading, tweeks to the the ini , redid the Large Address aware 4GB install, deactivating the Wanderes edition and associated compatibility Mods and Mart Mutant Mod and NMC texture packs, but the dungeon cells not loading appears to be a bug even in my new Vanilla install. I have no DLC. Please find below as requested 2 test files. I did a fresh install of F03. and loaded up a save file from previous play with the 40 or so installed mods, with an ENB and sweetFX . Below you will find two Vanilla (except for a reinstalled FOSE) save game files.Unfortunately the grey doors or cells not loading are still appearing in more than one dungeon area. http://www.2shared.com/file/aaZoZxh8/F03_NoMods_noENB_M_No_SFXs__sa.html my install path is an SSD , C: games \Fallout3 I realize you requested a save file with ENB enabled and *dll removed from the game directory, but was unsure if you ment the ENB dll or the original dll that getts over written when adding an ENB. Please advise if you have any thoughts on how to fix this issue.Thank you Wastlander Edited February 8, 2015 by wastlander
Purr4me
If I can load this saved game you have offered up I can find out whats going on. The problem is requiring ENB data or rather a system wide graphics insistence on usage of said data. You must understand, there is NO references of a "ENB" series of direct-x modifications given from a disc installed game, there for , any advice given is vanilla advice, covered under the Eula's of all concerned, zero violations and modded data is used in analysis of this data. you get from me clear and precise advice based solely on Vanilla data. each of the series OF ENB as stated on their web site depicts the arrangements of how and when to use or not to use said data. You can not use this data in a diagnostic form, this format does not permit this.it's like installing a Honda engine into a mack truck and expect it to move tons of dirt.It creates too much difficult trying to match things when that is Impossible unless I owned the exact same piece of equipment and set up as you own. There are a lot of ways to guess your way through things and get lucky. Guessing leads to mistakes. I have no time to wast on guess work. I give a set of parameters to follow and expect the same respect so to advise of what to do. another way to word this is I give specific instructions of how one sets things up in order to obtain a given Guesstimate of what "Might be wrong"...no one, I mean no one can be absolute in an answer given the Unknowns here.Imagine me altering hospital equipment to fit my own judgment of how i want the MRI to look? Sounds stupid huh?Nothing would be of benefit if I did that.But...I can write code to simulate said procedures on equipment NOT meant for medical purposes, a test platform and lab...where these things are ironed out in the industry as it is done today. all of this information is for every ones benefit that may read this post. it means to get down to basics and figure out if it is a hardware bug /issue, an installed game issue, or a system permission issue, a graphics driver issue ,a mod issue....all of these things go live the instant you install any games onto any system.Wet ware over rules software because that's where it came from .Understanding how the software works allows you to modify how it functions...doing so also allows us to know how to replicate things...being that, we can acknowledge the latter as a cause and effect scenario. "AKA" fix the problem with just information provided with a full understanding of the setup. there is no guess work here. a person posts something , and most post are similar for a given game.here, on this massive data base called the nexus ,is the most coherent amount of this kind of data available.Because of that, we have patterns we can follow, a repeated Representative theme of problems that match a common bug or problem.when I read these posts, I take time and think about whether or not to respond.Given where technology is at and is going, I believe it's required to advise about some things we currently do understand and can give advice provided the forum is held stiff and fast, straight forward. most of my latest posts are done from a phone while I am driving...and inter-phase with the vehicle, not a hand held device. In San Fransisco, there are now driver less cars, a wave of technology malarial to fallout's theme, and I find it ironic to even be posting about the inventions we now have in real life depicted by a video game. The pipboy device...is an interactive device, a fantasy item come to real life as of now but in other forms.10 years down the road, imagine where the game will be....they sure won't be on PC's, they will be in your living room. Purr4me
ran the game here, all elements are available to me here, all doors are there, all cells load properly here, fast travel ,exits, entering cells, shooting walking running, looting.Use of the fallout3.esm only and I even allowed the DLC's to load .now, I will re-run the same thing again with only fallout3 enabled.-----------------------------------------as before, all systems green here. So, that being the case, I can only surmise the problem is the system got messed up there. I took some screen shots but I don't believe that's required...I can provide.Stealth boy also works here as intended by the Original authors of fallout3.*.kf files works correctly using "your saved game here"all scripts are fully active and function correctly here too.I even found two basket balls ! never seen those before. so, if the game was reinstalled and this thing is still there, I can only imagine the systems, That PC's graphic's driver is wrong or the game is effected by some sort of bug, ? same game. one machine shows zero doors while on another machine the doors show up.The only thing to effect graphics IS ENB data.unless you still are editing the ini files? they should be 100 % default for any testing. the in game graphics setting should be default 800x600 as it loads. if there is a problem between graphics layouts then that means the display driver is inco0rrect for that machine and this game, they are incompatible.but, if all setting are the same ? then you have a real bug some place with the game it's self, a bad disc? or simply the system is installing crap, missing data from extracting it off of the disc, a bad cd/rom reader will do that....incomplete extracted data. it may appear complete but still is missing internal data, was unable to read it ,skipped it. if so, what else is installed on the PC that watches other software, Antivirus? Or that ! too can do this. boiling it all down here it's a simple graphics glitch, a setting that pretends the doors from working OR you have edited something you should not have edited. are using things not meant for this game.need more input on the software used.
