KCarver
I made an .esp through creation kit for Hearthfire, I changed the prices and quantities of buying sawn logs etc. saved it as a new plugin, activated and placed at bottom of load order, went in-game to vendor and still has old values, something I missed in creation kit? KimberJ
Uh... That's probably dialog related, an set via scripts an quests. Did you look to see if this mod was already created?

KCarver
After adding the SkyrimEditor.ini lines to get creation kit to work with Hearthfire I simply changed the values of BYOHHPCostLogs to 1000, (build your own hearth house?), BYOHHPAmountLogs to 1, BYOHHouseLogCount to 0.This is the second plugin I've tried to make; the first was over a year ago and more simple than this, I'm trying to increase the purchase means of Sawn Logs to 1000 gold per 1 sawn log and remove the starting 20 logs when purchasing the deed which I changed to 20000 gold, as I find even low level with cutthroat merchant makes the game far too easy to make riches with scaling stopper and master difficulty and I'm looking to make a more balanced, more reality/less story objective based progressive storyline. I saved the plugin under it's own name and loaded it at he bottom of the load list, I have few other mods such as Better Vampires, CBBE, Skyrim Scaling Stopper, Apachii Hair and few other mods all working via LOOT and TES5Edit
DoctorKaizeld
do you have any mods that alter merchants in any way?
KimberJ
uh we get the logs at the mill from dialog, when the dialog is clicked it takes away the gold, an in the past would launch mini obscript. Since you said logs that's what I thought. Besides there are NPC's you can hire to build the stuff an it only costs 10,000 gold to build the whole house pretty much. 10 logs @ 20 gold a piece is there cause logs are that cheap. I understand the idea though. Unless you got that NPC's name an looked up the dialog for purchasing logs, you won't really know if it's not controlled by dialog. Sure the other stuff is vended, but not logs. Hence why I figured it would be controlled in dialog. You also didn't answer if you even checked that this mod already existed or not. Which it probably does I bet.

KCarver
I have Cutthroat Merchants loaded higher on the load order which doesn't alter the price, and I only edited the lines mentioned above, they have a TAR icon in CK
KCarver
Bah, uninstalled Hearthfire and reinstalled, resetting everything, the cost of buying the land is now working at 20k, the materials chest now starts empty as intended, but the log pile still starts at 20 and while dialogue when buying sawn logs is working, it still buys 20 for
