Hi,

 

I've got to the area/level where there are three rooms (Cafeteria, Storage and Admin), and I've killed three Lightning Bugs (or Flies). When I approach the safe I get this message:

 

"The safe appears to be secured with a complex electronics lock ... you can probably use the central cylinder from a plasma weapon to compromise (or rather, explode) the electronic security system. RECOMMENDATION: remove any energy cells from your person to reduce the risk of a catastrophic energy blowout event".

 

I'm totally stuck there. I've moved the energy cells around, above, on, nearby - everywhere! - the safe, but nothing. Presumably, I have to do something with these energy cells but damned if I know what it is.

 

Any ideas?

if it doesn't give you an option to short out the safe

 

reload a previous save

 

I presume you've found the plasma rifle

look up

No, I have not found a plasma rifle - and I have looked and looked many times over :wallbash:

 

Any idea where it is?

There's a plasma pistol on top of a locker in a little side room. Look carefully. It's easy to miss.
