Cards bought off of vendors

I haven't made it into NV yet, but I was wondering what are the cards for that you can buy from various vendors throughout the land. Can you use them to cheat at the Casinos?

For the game called Caravan, you can play with select NPC's you find. You should have gotten a pack of cards in the first town from the guy hiding in the gas station.

PC version is bugged. Bought cards will not appear in your hand.

I just found out that after storing all my bought cards in a desk at the Novac hotel, the cards now show in my Caravan hand and I can use them... :wacko:

Heh, I stored them in the exact same place. Weapons in the footlocker, apparel in the wardrobe, repair/junk items in the cabinet, currency/cigs in the safe. Stuff to sell in the suitcase. No need for presidential suite..

You don't even need to cheat to get into The Strip. You just need 2000 caps, and you can easily get that in Freeside.

 

On my last play through, I went into Atomic Wrangler and bought 500 caps of chips and saved right before the slot machine. Then I bet 50 on each pull and ended up getting 4000 on one of my pulls (only had to reload once). I think I could have made a lot more had I bet 100 on each pull.
