elonria
I extracted the .BSA files for New Vegas so I could access the files for modding, but now there's a few errors popping up in game.My character's hair is now showing through any headgear and my companions lose their hair completely if they have headgear on.I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which fixed it, but the problem appeared again as soon as I extracted the .BSAs.Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I will create a shrine to anyone who helps me. Fonger
guessing here 1 - not a guess - no need to uninstall the game to remove the files that came from unpacking - delete the files if you need to cross check - or simply move them away for the game to not see them - after all the BSA is always there. 2 - probably a very heavy archive invalidation issue because automatic archive invalidation hasn't hit the shelves yet. elonria
The problem is that if I move the files out of my data folder, I can't access them with the GECK. Is there a way to work around this or manually do archive invalidation (I've tried a few different ways I've read online and none have worked), or do I just have to live with this for now? Only put the files you intend to edit in your game folder, having all of them exacted in your game folder isn't a good idea.
RetroNutcase
I could use some help, I've encountered the same issue, and removing the extracted folders causes an immediate CTD on load, as if New Vegas doesn't know to go back to looking at the regular BSA files anymore.
