I would really like to see what the public thinks about the game, acording to my pole up there.

My opinions, based off of the poles questions:

1. Yes, Steam has made me mad, but it's nothing to bad. So, I guess I would go with answer 4 for that question.

2 Yes, I am going to purchase the DLC's no matter what. So, answer 1 for me.

3. Part 1 of that question, I think the game was worth the money. (It would have been better if they would have taken 10 dollars off the price) Part 1 of the question, I strongly believe that Bethesda should have developed the game and not Obsidian. Answer 3, definently.

Well, thats my whole consept on whats happening with New Vegas.

No, Steam works just fine for me. In fact having the Steam overlay is a blessing when I need to use a web browser without alt-tabbing out of the game, for example if I'm adding to, or looking up something on the FO:NV wikia.

I'd have to see what DLC they release. I'm not one for buying horse armour ...

Bit of a mixed reaction with the last question. I went with "The game was worth the money" simply because I'm playing on a PC. The community has already started the amazing deconstruction and reconstruction of FO:NV via the modding scene. To be fair I can't even remember what Vanilla FO3 was like, it was a different game after I'd finished modding it, that's for sure. Obsidian are great with details etc. but their work for some reason always feels a little sloppy. After Bethesda took on Obsidian for this, they had the perfect oppertunity to learn what was wrong with FO3 and improve on it. They did...to a point. However they missed several glaring issues, which I've already had to fix/need to fix with mods:

Lighting,

Auto aim,

Mouse Acceleration,

Ugly chunky console HUD,

Bad chunky textures,

etc. etc. Still, in short, worth the money? Yes, I think so.

That's a matter of opinion.

Which is what this poll is all about. hehehe.

My copy has not yet arrived but I did update Steam in anticipation of it and found a freebie called Alien Swarm so my experience with Steam so far has been with Dirt 2 and Alien Swarm which are very recent.

1. Steam installed just fine on Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit

2. Steam remembered me from Looooong ago which still showed my original purchase of Half-Life 2 (back then Steam made me upset)

3. The Alien Swarm downloaded just fine and ran without any Steam-related issues.

I'll cast my vote when I actually play NV for a while.

My wife called just a few minutes ago and an off-handed topic came up about an Amazon package in the back of her van. She asked if I was expecting anything and that it arrived last week and she chucked it in the back and forgot. She thought is was yet another thing her mom bought and had it shipped to our house. LOL.
