wielkicien
Greetings fellow Skyrimers,Don't you miss good old Oblivion, where even non-essential NPC's could start a chat with each other? Wandering on the streets of the Imperial City n then hearing them talking about rumours, gossips, latest news, etc. Why they cut that down from Skyrim? Now NPC's interact only with player (with exception of quest based dialogues). So: my idea is - correct this thing! Make some mod, that would grant us the unique feeling of living in world really filled wih people. As far as I'm concerned that mod does not exist, so here I am proposing it.May the sun keep u warm! Boombro
Only with the player? Yes, skyrim npc when it comparison with the two older games are fewer in number and chatter, but, did you really listen to them? In oblivion all npc in all cities and towns talk only about mud craps and the guilds with 1-2 lines about the city. In Skyrim, almost all npc talk with each other differently and aware of each other, this can be seen in whiterun and Skyrim beloved, Yoslda. She chats with all the stalls gray-mane and Nazeem. In night time, you can see her in the inn. Nazeem also talks with all the stalls, while the stall owners have many chats with their families after and before closing in their own houses. This can be seen across all of Skyrim, and those lines are not the same at all and you can hear many things, my favorites are the high elven sisters of solitude, the accent and the tone mixed with mockery is so funny. PS: just go to the npc category, the first two mods are what you looking for.
OpenWorldAddict
I have to agree. What you asking already occurs in Skyrim. The reasons why you don't see it is that you might have been unaware of them, or just didn't notice it. The difference is that Oblivion you heard people talking to each other practically non-stop no matter where you were, saying mostly the same things. In Skyrim it all depends on where you are and who's around. You'll hear lots of chatter when you're in the middle of a marketplace in any of the big cities or any other large square, plaza or other gathering locations. If you in a place like outside the palaces, you'll only here guards talking, and most of the time they will be talking to you. The reason is that guards don't chatter on duty, it makes sense that they are not supposed to, so they may mention something to you while passing by, you'll never hear the guards talking to each other, except maybe in a barracks or something where there may be guards off duty. Go to the right places, be there at the right time with the right types of people around, pay attention, and you'll hear them talk. This system makes sense, and it is more immersive, so immersive that there will be times when you just don't notice it at all when your very focused and what you came to do.
