tbolinger76
Okay, so after well over a year of continuous modding on Skyrim, I finally managed to break the game completely beyond repair. I had to totally scratch what I had and restart. I removed all mods I didn't want, conflicting, etc. Now I have re-installed the game and all of my mods. Now, anytime that I start a file, it starts perfectly fine. The issue is that I don't see anything on the screen, as if I'm playing with one of the hidden hud mods, but I'm not. I have no center cursor, no buttons appear to interact with anything, and I'm at a total loss. Can someone please explain how to fix this or what may be wrong? Greatly appreciated in advance. kniggit92
Did you completely uninstall, deleted the skyrim folder and your inis and then reinstalled with steam? Edited February 4, 2015 by kniggit92
Vudou
You need to check the load order of all mods you have and read their descriptions if they have any about load orders. Two mods in particular will cause "no main menu" on your start screen. Dragon Combat Overhaul (DCO) and The Dance of Death. DCO needs to be BEFORE The Dance of Death in the load order, or you will have no main menu showing. SkyrimUpdateDLC's if anyOther .esm's whateverOther .esp's whateverDCODance of DeathOther .esp's whatever You can have others in-between DCO and Dance of Death, just as long DCO is above Dance of Death. It's only a few mods that cause this, so you need to check them all out. There are also some old mods that cause this issue, but I don't know them all off the top of my head. In that case, you'll have to spend the time disabling and re-enabling your mods one by one or groups of ten or something, until your menu shows up. If you do it in a group, then you know it's one of those mods causing the issue. Then do those one by one. Once you've found it, check the load order or find out if it's just out of date. IMO, don't use out of date mods. Edited February 5, 2015 by Baibaihe
