Deleted54170User
I am still a noob in ways. I downloaded several mods I could not live without. I opened their file packs: rar, zip, etc.. I copied and pasted all the .esp's into the Data folder and then...It hit me! I realized I had just left two copies of the mod on my computer. :wallbash: One in the games folder in C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/common/Fallout New Vegas/Data and the other in the folder I prepared with the mods name I cut and pasted off the compress files' name and put on a NewFolder. That made it so I had three additions to my computers folders' content. :whistling: Noob talkin' here...I had extra stuff I did not need to have that was cluttering up my hard drive. Simple solution: Move the esp and/or Menu's, Meshes, Sound, Texture, etc. folders from the folder to the Fallout: New Vegas area. It is still available in the mod packed file so I don't need its stored esp, etc. in the Mod prepared folder too, on my harddrive. I deleted any readme.txt too after reading it. For I value the modders  information until I comprehend what they want me to. Wow! I have less used up space on my hard drive now. I would have thought the mods compressed files, when expanded like that, emptied the compressed file, but no. The rar, zip, or what have you is holding the esp and stuff for us neatly packed so we can unpack it again and again if we need to. :teehee: Ah! What a relief! Game play seems to work better with less clutter in the Windows Explorer as well. My noob virginity fades away a little more..

soot00
Oh boy a noob to mods? I remember my first time. Once you go mods you will never touch vanilla version again, trust me.
ElaborateGore
Once you go mods..you walk into one of two camps of people. There is the camp of god modders, those folks who use mods that are overpowered and make them god of the wasteland. Then there is the camp of additionists that only use mods that add to the game in non overpowering ways such as ways to improve oversights and other screwups in the game. Choose carefully young one...the camps do not always get along... Now on a more serious note..Welcome.Small hard drive? 2 1TB drives solves such issues. But I get your point of duplication of stuff. BooneoftheWasteland
Yep. I have folders for several versions of FO3 and Oblivion and I'm certain I have more than several gigs of mods within them. I'm going to have to do some house cleaning soon.An upside to that...I couldn't find a few mods on the nexus anymore and I still wanted to use them in my new edition of FO3 and luckily I still had those mods in those folders.
