romeoalpha42 Posted October 8, 2003 Share Posted October 8, 2003 where do i find soul gems with souls outside of shops. sure theres some at mages guild in balmora, but im not gonna spend that much time and money to get a low enchant, i might as well find it. and also wheres all the nordic iron, trollbone, dreugh, and ebony armors? or any.. im getting sick of fur, chitin and bonemold everywhere at level 6. anyhew most important is soul gems cuz my swords need it and wheres a good place to get loot that has good pay off, i found a few shrines and ruins here and gthere but i dont have a paper map so.. If you have good magic resistance you can try some places in northern Vvardenfel - Ashalmavia daedric shrine E of Ald Velothi (basic set of ebony armor), Druscashti dwemer ruins W of Urshilaku camp (glass armor + some ebony if I remember correctly, beware - this is vampire den!), Kogorun far SE of Urshilaku - search upper terrace until you find dead Ordinator and get standard set of Indoril armor (keep magic shirt - it's Ghostgate temple quest item) but don't enter stronghold proper - at level 6 you are too weak to make it. If you character is a good fighter you can try to clean out baddies outside of daedric shrine NW of Hla Oad to get a nice looking set of orkish armor and weapons. Want one of the best enchanted chainmails in the whole game - go to underwater cave N of Ebonheart but be ready for a tough fight to get it.Good luck to you! You have to be tough - a lot of Daedric summonings to slash. Ebony helm in Sarano Tomb (fighters guild quest). I've seen a hint list of where all armour of any type can be found. He wouldn't get through the front door :lol: And yeh, i cant afford any enchanting at the moment. Apart from walking in to a daedric shrine and getting a soul yourself, there aint much you can do. Pob Posted October 8, 2003 Share Posted October 8, 2003 The armourers in Suran, Balmora and espcially Ghostgate have alot of the good stuff as do armourers in Mournhold (if you have tribunal), but at level 6 you prob can't afford it. romeoalpha42 Posted October 9, 2003 Author Share Posted October 9, 2003 okay ha ha yea i know level 6 is tough against everything but now im at level 10 and four points from 11. and with my Warhammer of Wounds i take out most animals like kagoutis and scamps. clannfears getting easier but your right dremora are tough and i dont have much magic resist as an imperial. i focus on beating down not blocking. but could you point out where that dead ordinator is, that could come in handy. otherwise where'ss the best region and area to find stuff and because of it i might have to use "fillmap". hopefully not, but its a legit cheat.. if that isnt an oxymoron.. thanateros Posted October 9, 2003 Share Posted October 9, 2003 I remember the dead ordinator but only because it was while doing a part of the main quest IIRC. Before you count on getting any really good armor from adventuring probably the best armor for your buck is bonemold. This is just opinion of course but it is sturdy enough to get you high enough so with a more powerful weapon or spell take down someone in the armor that you really want. There are also a few quests you can do to get some armor pieces that aren't too hard. If you solve the Vivec Murders quest you can get some indoril armor, or simply go to the hall of justice, in the ordinator barracks there are several chests out of view from the guards with lvl 10 locks on them...you can get all but the cuirass using this method. I would just suggest doing some quests and seeing what rewards you'll get; which is a huge part of exploring what the island has to offer. But if you want specifics, then I would deffinitely direct your attention the UESP and see what quests will get you certain items. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
