frank lee
It goes quite a way further than that. I'm trying to get a definitive map together that shows; (1) the game-space. (within vanilla invisible walls)(2) the pip-boy map space, and(3) the terrain map space And impose all three boundaries on an actual topographic map of the region. I think this would be a useful modders resource as far as creating new lands and overlapping mods. Also for modders to include some of the wonderful sounding 'real world' locations such as Calico ghost town and Zzyzx Road. It would also help the Area 51 thing (which is way, Way! north of Nellis)Its proving tricky to do because the Fallout devs have squeezed and distorted the map/terrain to no particular system. Cool idea! I would love to see the relationship between the three.
WarKirby3333
Yet another way to look at it is that they sold us a truck with some iffy tires. Don't worry about it, because they can just replace them for no cost. Oh, and you might want to buy some extras like a tow attachment or maybe an extra fuel tank. A better way to look at it is that they sold you a truck with a new, more efficient engine, that does the same as the old one but is smaller. Then you open the bonnet and complain about the wasted space inside there because the engine is smaller. I'm sure bethesda will sell you another engine soon to make your truck go faster, but I don't see any justified reason to complain about that. avianrave
All that unused space is probably for the LOD. They can't just make it an island with a bunch of angry sharks guarding the perimeter, now could they? The DLC will be in its own worldspace, so they don't need to be limited to what they put in for LOD. So really, as I see it those spaces could be a modders playground. Daynox
that huge area in the west part of the map..and the north east...and east...and well...the south east...and ya the whole south west, and north west...heck...the whole outer area....thats full of....nothing, the great modders that reside here can go ahead and fill that up cause i dont think any DLC will fill those areas...all dlc for FO were new world spaces except for Very small area's of the FO map. and I for one thought the DLC/store bought expansions for FO sucked......The Pit was kinda cool but....anywho. Ya....im for anything that anyone one wants to add to these totally empty and wasted areas. there is no need to tcl or anything to access that western part either...follow the Red Rock Canyon Trail in the west and it leads to a foot trail the leads west then round to the north then east up into the the southern wooded part of the Jacobstown area...the quest "Bleed Me Dry" will take you there...the area where you collect the Cazzadore eggs? i think...against that hill you can just walk right up and over......aint much to be seen over there's though  So all you modders out there can go ahead and fill up them empty zones with some awesome goodness! Daynox
