est
VMQHouse5 "The House Always Wins, V" [QUST:00147889] haz an Objective 62 says (Optional) Inform Mr. House that you've negotiated a peaceful solution with the Brotherhood. Haz anyone be able to trigger this option? I really, really hate to blow BoS bunker up.
gsmanners
I would guess that the "peaceful solution" was cut in order to better reduce the amount of dialogue that actor has to give. There's already hundreds of lines just related to that quest, so I'm not surprised. There's also the fact that House is a cold-hearted despot who would rule New Vegas with an iron fist. The Courier's inability to persuade him to diplomatic channels seems a bit more in-character for him. It seems fairly obvious that the "nice" path is the one where you side with NCR. MrSomeguy
If you side with the NCR and don't help the Brotherhood by replacing their Elder, you can negotiate a truce between the 2. If you help them get a new elder then for some reason you HAVE to kill them later. It's stupid that they don't give you an option for truce just because you helped them, if anything that's reason to give them the truce. That's the reason I'm probably not going to finish the game tbh, I refuse to kill the Brotherhood.
gsmanners
If you refuse to kill the BoS and the alliance option is gone, then your only choice for finishing is to do what Yes Man suggests.

I'd still rather work for the NCR and keep the BoS alive. It would be awesome if somebody made a simple mod to "fix" this issue.
