OBSE scripts stop working as they should

Hello there!

I'm experiencing a problem with OBSE. Sometimes after loading a save some scripts just stop working. I've noticed this issue in Custom Spell Icons (icons revert back), Kyoma's Journal Mod (all text dissapears, all settings are reset), Kyoma's Spell Renamer (spell names revert back, both auto-renamed and custom), JRoush Alchemy Advanced (don't work at all) and Side's Backpacks (don't work too). Making a save without these plugins and then turning them on helps only for a while. After some time (completely random, this may happen a day or two later or next time I save my game)

i have a similar problem, though i consider it quite minor, as restarting the game fixes it completely (until another unfavorable load) =/

 

in particular, it effects Deadly Reflexes and Unnecessary Violence, and even reverts animations to the vanilla . .. somehow =/

I had this "wipe" yet again however Jornal Mod and Backpacks continued working. (while Alchemy Advanced, Spell Renamer and Custom Spell Icons didn't).

Elizinator, my problem is different. Unnecessary Violence still works in my case. And no amount of reloads fix the problem. The only way to recover is to revert to an old save (yet it may be damaged too)

Please, help! This sh*t is too fffrrrustrating.

You can also use Conscribe to assist with debugging. It will print any error messages from your console to a log file.

I don't think this can be UAC at least because I use Windows XP :)

I got this bug again few minutes ago, so this is a "fresh" log:

I'll use ConScribe once I figure out how to use it.

Your load order looks all wrong. You should run BOSS and then rebuild your Bashed Patch.

Well I know that OBSE_Elys_Pluggy_HUD.dll is very buggy when using the HUD functions. I urge you not to use HUD functions of Pluggy. Rename without _HUD. That might not be the cause of the problem but it's definitely buggy. Every mod you listed shows in the log as an error. I'd do a clean save without OBSE, then reload OBSE. If that doesn't work I'd contact the author of the mod. Map Marker Overhaul is showing the most errors, most likely because it's calling more scripts or calling a script more frequently, so I'd contact TheNiceOne. He's an excellent scripter and provides EXCELLENT support for all of his mods.

 

Your log shows you do have Conscribe and it's loading. You should have log files from Conscribe in the same folder as the plugins. If not there check your main Oblivion directory.

 

About the Load Order, that shouldn't have anything to do with these errors. Although you should always use the most recent version of the BOSS masterlist to help sort your LO.
