Ninja mod

Anyone working on a ninja mod? I'd love to see clothes, swords, throwing stars and possible perks. For clothes I'd love to see a black suit of the NCR facewrap armor but NOT as a costume for NCR so you wouldn't get the message that your dressed up as a NCR guy. Give it better DT and maybe a +5 stealth?

Sword perhaps someone could either make their own or just re-skin the machete and make it look like a ninja sword?

Damn I wish I could be a Shogun Samurai

so I could swing a sword and make necks fly

I'd go to school and ninja-crawl through tha halls

n' then I'd jump out n' stab bitches in the balls- ninja by icp

lol, sorry i had to post that.

yeah, your mod idea is cool.

well there are already a few ported katanas for fo nv, granted i think they are some of the worst of the lot in all the katana mods that were made for fo3, heck in oblivion there was a few kill bill katana mods that looked killer,

it is easy enough to go back to fo3 nexus look around see if there are any swords you like dl them convert them for you own game(i have done that), and if you want to release it or something contact the owners of the mods and see if you can get permission.

grab the mods copy the meshes and the textures to your data folder create a new plugin in the geck create a new weapon, you can open another melee type weapon in the geck to see how stats and weight and etc should about look, sound files etc, then just make your own attach the mesh form the mod you imported and the skins and etc should all be right there.

takes a few minutes to do when you get the hang of it. and boom you got more katanas then you know what to do with, or ninja swords sure there got to be a few around from fo3.

i might have to go back find them kill bill swords and see if i could port those in :) i do recall loving that sword in oblivion, great texture job and model they did on those swords.

Well, if you want a Ninja weapon, you don't even really need pimp textures for it or anything. Most Ninjato were not differentially forged, which is why they weren't curved, so the uneven two-tone finish would just not be there.

That said, the Hollywood image of the Ninja is also distorted. The reality is a lot more mundane. And more importantly the "invisibility" part had to do more with being msters of disguise than strutting in black garb through town. A real ninja would go into town dressed as a merchant or a Buddhist monk or peasant or whatever. So, basically, if you want to be a ninja, just put on a wasteland trader suit, and there you go :P
