What I am looking for is a house mod for my character. His name is Jesse and he is a level 11 almost 12 thief/warrior/ Mage. I would like a house that is preferably in a nice green forest spring-like location near water like a lake or river or in a town.I don't want something that wil give me loads of stuff like hot tubs and saunas with pools, just something nice and medium sized that I can get sort of easily. I don't want to just go into the game and have the house handed to me, maybe paying for it or doing a few quests etc...I don't need a lot of weapon/armor display but definitely an area to grow herbs and plants and potion making, and room for a wife and kids in the future.. If you know of anything that fits the criteria or maybe it does in some spots and doesn't in others definitely let me know! Main things I want: - room for followers, wife, kids, etc...-nothing unrealistically extravagant like a huge mansion or castle with a sauna and 25 women that will serve you-places to grow herbs and ingredients for alchemy-alchemy table-preferably somewhere near falkreath or riften in a nice spring like climate near water.-some or very little amounts of armor/weapon display-nice size...not huge but not tiny-maybe 2 floors with a basement or secret room-something you need to pay for or do a quest to acquire, I don't want it just handed to me.-lots of natural light-I REALLY don't want to be given tons and tons of items, I like to earn weapons and ingredients and don't want to have everything given to me.That's it! Shivala Posted February 22, 2015 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Near Falkreath you have the *astounishing* Mammoth Manor by Lupus78, at the Lake Innialta. It's pretty close to Falkreath. But the *view* there, wow! And it has many details, many amnities and room for customisation. The little path to the lake is awesome and fits in with the lore. As for Mammoth Manor, I liked it, but it seemed really dark. Does anyone know of one like mammoth manor (maybe a little smaller) with more natural light? Also, the thieves hideout was pretty cool it just seemed dark and too expansive, I sort of liked the Sicarius refuge but it was a little red and assassin like for me. (I know, I'm picky! Shivala Posted February 22, 2015 Share Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) For me a lot of homes don't fly for me because it seems so many are either near Whiterun or near Riverwood. I don't consider that my base (allthough the area is lovely) I can recommend trying Serenity (the ship) but it is small, only 2 sleeping places), but it is pretty mobile. I use it in my current playthrough. Heard good stories about Candlepond Ranch. It seems to have everything you are looking for http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23987/? Never tried it myself though. Looks pretty bright as well, looking at the screenies. Don't forget that with Jasonz Positioner you can add/delete stuff to your house if you feel something needs changing. Even lights.
